Elena was an absolute joy to work with. The location of Cortland Vesta is fantastic. The property is situated in the heart of Five Points South, close to UAB, and within walking distance of restaurants and gas stations. The building itself is modern, clean, and beautifully designed, with contemporary décor throughout. And the views from the high-rise floors are truly stunning. Elena facilitated my tour and was incredibly patient as we explored the different layouts. She welcomed every question and made me feel completely at ease, even though apartment hunting can often feel exhausting and overwhelming. She genuinely made the entire process effortless. Her knowledge of each apartment home’s details was impressive, and despite my many questions, she always responded promptly, professionally, and respectfully. When the layout I wanted finally became available, she emailed me immediately with the good news. The property is immaculate. Everything is always tidy and clean. The amenities are awesome but what sets this place apart from any other apartment I have ever stayed in is the staff. They go over the top on everything. It’s genuine southern hospitality.

I’ve been living here for about 4 months and absolutely love it! It’s the best apartment complex I’ve lived in so far. Maintenance are quick to respond to any issues. I love the front desk staff (Tionne and Elena). They have activities for the residents each month (e.g., bingo, Halloween party, etc). The views are breathtaking! I hardly ever hear from my neighbors beside me. I love the security in the apartment (elevators and doors only work via phone app) and how they keep the gym clean. I like my neighbors and we all respect each other. It’s just a gem! 😊

Incredible place to live! The apartment is absolutely amazing and the amenities are wonderful. The staff is very helpful as well, my roommate and I had a crazy experience while apartment shopping and Elena was a huge help! I was only here temporarily, and it was honestly one of the best apartment buildings I've stayed in while in Birmingham. My only complaint is the occasional noise from inconsiderate neighbors that think everyone wants to enjoy their music with them. Avoid renting anything near unit 1706 if you don't want your walls to shake.

I truly enjoy living here, they have food trucks that come on site, they offer yoga classes, which I haven’t had the chance to explore yet. They keep us informed with everything going on at the property.The office staff is amazing!!! Teon is amazing, we have been here almost a year I usually get my girls from school and see her, she always smile and greet us as we come in. Everyone is truly a blessing and I am still excited about calling Cortland Vesta home!

I want to give a big thank you to the amazing maintenance team Justin and his colleague for their prompt and professional repair of my dishwasher. From the moment I submitted the request, they were quick to respond and kept me informed every step of the way. The repair was done efficiently, and they made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. On top of that, they were friendly, respectful of my space, and left the area clean. My daughter and I took a tour, hosted by Elena Sanders. The facility is absolutely stunning, a surprise to me, having rented almost all my adult life. The models are very nice and help capture the vision you’d have for “your own place”. Most high-rise apartments have very limited space, but these are very well planned and could easily accommodate the modern dweller. I love how the top floor is the community center, instead of a pricey penthouse. It makes the building completely accessible to all residents, leaving very little to be desired. Since she is graduating college next December, we took a tour to set a goal for her and Elena was very welcoming, answering all of our questions, no matter how trivial. I know Caroline is excited and willing to work hard for what she wants. See you all again in December!

I absolutely love Courtland Vesta!! I’ve been staying at the property via Landing and it’s my fav out of the 6 various apartment communities that I’ve been able to live in thus far in the Birmingham area. The staff are nice and polite when I’ve encountered them, the amenities are well maintained and clean, easy access to interstate. Location isn’t central as the other apartments I’ve lived in downtown however still a great location. I was a bit weary after reading some reviews but again my fav so far! I feel comfortable and safe and the views…absolutely breathtaking! Thanks to Courtland and Landing for making this connection bc I’ve enjoyed them both! Sunsets and sunrises here are immaculate especially facing Highland Ave.

The staff at Cortland have all been AMAZING! Tionne made the move in process so easy and the maintenance man has been an absolute blessing! He has gone above and beyond as well and I am very thankful for the team. UPDATE I am very displeased with the internet service being offered in the mid rise building. Although it is no fault of Cortland I do feel I need to disclose that I feel stuck because my college student is without any internet because of the error by the Att concierge for the the complex, Becky, who has been a complete pain to deal with. After contacting her multiple times about the address on file for the install (I had scheduled internet installation in JUNE for an AUGUST INSTALL TO INSURE my student had internet for the start of college) she gave me some BS excuse about why it was saying the address was wrong and assured me it would be fine after the install on the 15th. The install didn’t happen on the 15th because surprise surprise they said it was an incorrect address and the next day the Att

Where do I even start. I have lived here for over 3 years. The Cortland Vesta is the absolute best place to be in if you are living in Birmingham. From the views of the sky deck, the gym, the upscale design of every apartment is unbeatable. I have had the honor of living in the high rise & the mid rise & can say you can not go wrong with either choice. This place doesn’t make you feel like a resident, this place makes you feel like family. Crystal is a wonderful manager who strives each day to make sure her residents are at their full potential of living. You ever have a problem within the apartment then Jonathon, Danny, & Cliff will always have an answer for you & are some of the most exceptional people within their profession that you will ever have the privilege to meet. If you are looking for an apartment then I encourage you to give this “resort” a chance & you won’t regret it.

(Original 2 Stars, edit notes at the end) This apartment has decent concrete walls for quiet living, good appliances, decent location, and a good view, but that is about it. I have lived here for over a year. Our parking garage gate has been broken for 60 days (I have the text/date they sent when it became broken) with no end in sight. It is like leaving your garage door open 24/7 and hoping someone doesn't come in and rob the place. This comes directly after the summer where a resident was murdered in the parking garage (google it), a car was hotwired and stolen (I spoke to the owner of the car), and another car was broken into (I saw this with my own eyes). They also told me they can't hire security guards to check vehicles who enter the gate because it would be too much work. So what do they do? Eh, just leave it open. It's not like there is a history of crime occurring when the gate is broken anyways. When I first signed the lease, one of the amenities was a heated pool. The pool heater was always broken

I love my experience here at Cortland Vesta. I love the vybration of the building overall. Tionne, Seth, Tanya, and Kristen are attentive helpful pleasant fashion forward and knowledgeable about the area. They never hesitate to answer any questions I have no matter how minute. Maintenance staff responses a swift and the Maintenance manager himself even went so far to walking me to his office in reference to a request. My neighbors are quiet and about their business, their dogs are awesome. The only thing that could make my living experience here better is my apartment home being a condo for sale, a steam room, and the pool being indoor. Chef’s kiss.

I have been a resident at Cortland Vesta for going on 3 years. In my time here I can say coming from miami to Alabama in this building has been the BEST experience. The leasing/management team are professional, kind and thorough. They put fourth every effort to accommodate the needs of their tenants and are responsive to any concerns raised. The maintenance team, in like, are professional and very prompt to address any issues you may encounter. Response times to service requests are almost always same day or at most 24 hours from submission of a request. I love the pet friendly atmosphere as well. You probably won’t find a better group of people to have overseeing your experience in building life. I look forward to all the things to come in the building (like the coffee shop lol). I have lived here in CV for a month now! And I know I made the right choice. The amenities are outstanding and the location is central to everything within minutes. The Office staff and Maintenance staff are very friendly and have a sense of urgency about your concerns and needs. The neighbors are very friendly everyone speaks. If you want something luxurious then you have found your place to live.

The high-rise is reasonably priced, within walking distance to 5-points, highlands, and beautiful scenic spots. The traffic is not bad in the area, the parking deck is nice, and things like trash/cardboard box disposal is very convenient. The office staff are excellent and fast to reply.

I looked at all the reviews here prior to making a decision to move in and now after a month being a resident at CV, decided to come back and share my own. Location and security were the most important things to me in my decision and have found that I can easily get to Mt. Brook, Homewood, Hoover, and the airport with ease and never am concerned with traffic. Security is above and beyond what I expected. Parking is easy and convenient for guest as well as residents. The amenities and community events are of some of the best I could've hoped for. The staff have been extremely helpful in ways I've never experienced before. Seth guided me on a tour of the property and was helpful answering questions when I called him prior to moving in. He was extremely knowledgable, professional, and capable of helping me right fit into the unit I selected. Wanted to leave a review for Jonathan and the rest of the service team here at Cortland Vesta. They have been an absolute pleasure to work with any time I've needed something fixed or looked at in my apartment. They have been punctual, respectful, and a pleasure to talk to every time I have seen them! I recently had my shower head fixed, and Jonathan made sure to wipe the bottom of his shoes after they had gotten a little wet before walking through the apartment. Just one of the many examples of the service team here going above and beyond. Jonathan is always very helpful and always says to call him for anything. I would recommend Cortland Vesta to anyone based solely on the service team here!

I am absolutely in love with this apartment complex! Seth is truly an angel in disguise. I have never met a leasing agent more attentive to your needs and thorough. I immediately fell in love with the property the moment I stepped on the premises and knew I was home. The facilities are amazing, the views are impeccable, the staff is amazing and the location is superb. I have one of the most breathtaking views from my apartment overlooking the entire city of Birmingham. My floor is so quiet, I sometimes wonder if anyone lives on the floor with me. Everyone who lives here is super friendly. I’ve had so many random conversations sitting at the fire pit at the sky deck overlooking the city. We just moved in. While the location is very convenient and at a walking distance to downtown, it is also a quiet neighborhood. The apartments are beautiful and it has been very easy to settle in. We moved from out-of-state and John went above and beyond to make the process absolutely trouble free. The video-tour of the common areas and a couple apartments, and the frequent communication throughout the process made all the difference. Having an easy access to the unloading area that was close to the elevator made our move-in day incredibly easier! We are happy we chose to move here!

OMG!!! Crystal, the Property Manager was amazing to work with. We toured several floor plans that I was interested in seeing. They have a rooftop Bar, rooftop Pool, rooftop Gym, rooftop Fire-Pit, rooftop Sitting Area, and yes city VIEWS. Fun Fact: their App is user friendly, you can view your account, make service request, make amenity reservations, view your lease agreement, and pay online. Bottom line, the staff is super friendly, and the property feels like a 5 star resort. I really feel like I made a great choice as everyone who lives here appears to be in their profession, or is working on a degree. They even have a Courtesy Officer and other members of law enforcement who live on the property.

I just started renting at Cortland Vesta, and so far the experience has been amazing. I've lived in several places around downtown, and this place probably has the best views in Birmingham. Not to mention, the amenities are really impressive. The location is great, just a few blocks from Five Points. I love the parking garage (the rampant car break-ins around the city made this a non-negotiable for me) as well as the fob access for the doors and elevators. It's also assuring that there's a courtesy officer on site. The trash chute is really convenient and well-kept. The walls are little thin, but that's part of living in an apartment. As for the office staff that I've met, Robin and John are both really friendly and professional. Robin was very helpful throughout the leasing process and always answers any emails/calls promptly. There's a fob-access mailroom, which is nice. And Chris and Danny from the maintenance crew will place any large packages inside your apartment if you need it, which has been super hel

OMG!!! Crystal, the Property Manager was amazing to work with. She grabbed all of the keys to the luxury apartment units that I was interested in seeing. Immediately greeted by the sweetest leasing consultant I've ever sat down with, Robin. She was patient with me, went into detail about every amenity and everything the complex had to offer. First let me start by saying my experience with Robin has been great she was very informative during the tour and she knows this property. She made me feel welcomed enough to move here. She goes above and beyond to get the job done, if you’re a thinking about moving here please do it. When Robin wasn’t available the other people in the office was also helpful. When I had a small problem with something less than 24 hours Jonathan reached out to me to see when would I be available. He responded very quickly. He was very polite also handled everything I asked him to and was very professional. I was very comfortable with him. So far everything with Cortland is great no complaints here.

I've had a great experience living here at Cortland Vesta! The community is only a couple years old, but it still looks and feels brand new. The layout I have suits my needs and has everything that I was looking for in terms of space/setup. The appliances, fixtures, and finishes are all of good quality. The parking deck is also very convenient and is a great feature to have for all the rain and storms we get around here! The leasing process was very smooth. Without any doubt, John Bruce is the best leasing agent I have ever worked with -- he is very professional, attentive, and knowledgable. When I toured Cortland Vesta with John last year, he was so kind to show me a bunch of different floor plans and found one that was perfect for me. I’ve been living here for about a month and so far she’s opened sesame the entrance doors 3x from her desk as I approached, compared to the one time John did it. I’ve lived in luxury condos in north beach, upscale lofts in the galleria area Houston, a downtown Atlanta. So with a growing city like Birmingham not yet in its prime .This property definitely pushes the limits and raises the bar. Setting the standard with great office administration like J.B., Robin, Hanna, Crystal….they’re unmatched when it comes to timely but sincerely handling any issues u have. Above a beyond would be an understatement. The maintenance is the BEST I’ve ever experienced, !! They even ask me in REGULAR passing , is everything going good, do I need the for anythinG from us… an 99.9% I have no response lol..Any requests I put in get handled within the day… emergencies like electrical they’ve come out in the middle of the night!!….. 10/10… anyway sorry for the long review I hardly ever do these things but I actually have not one complaint as a tenant in this building! …No wait the pool is not always heated… but is that really a complaint…. 🤷🏾♂️

I recently moved in and I love the apartment so far! The combination of the loading dock and fright elevator made the move in process a breeze and the views are spectacular. Robin has been extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable when answering my many questions. If you're in Birmingham and you're looking for an apartment that will give you the urban, city vibes with a minimalist feel, then the highrise apartments are definitely for you. However, they offer other housing solutions for people that don't like that vibe, but I love it and I don't think I'd find anywhere else that could deliver this well somewhere else nearby.

After 30 years of owning a home my wife and I sold and moved to "city life" at Cortland Vesta. We love our new home and enjoying where we now live. The CV staff (Crystal, Robin, Hannah, Lance and Danny) are always responsive to our needs. Lance even greets my two dogs on our morning walks! The CV app is a great way to communicate. The courtesy officer takes care of any noise issues. We would like to see more on-premise security but the secured parking is a great comfort. The roof top gym is fantastic and well appointed with all the right equipment. If you are looking to move downtown, you should consider this new and well appointed property.

This is my wife and I'm first apartment together. When we first moved in our car was broken into but cortland was very quick to respond to the issue and haven't had a problem since! My wife and I work remotely and the fiber optic internet here is literally the best I have ever had I clock in atleast 300 most download speed on my playstation 5 easily! Skydeck is beautiful and even worth just doing a date up there and eat! If their is a problem maintenance people are quick to respond which is great! Even was told they have other properties outside of bama which hopefully can make transferring easier! If we decide to stay in bama I can see our lease being renwed

Having lived in several apartment communities over the years, Cortland Vesta has by far been the best. The staff has been extremely helpful and responsive right from the beginning, making my move from out of state an easy process. I cant say enough good things about the facilities, the apartment layouts, the amenities, and the finishings. The location is so convenient, being walking distance from many popular restaurants, down the street from Vulcan park, and less than a mile from UAB and the hospital. What really makes the community unique is the leasing and maintenance staff. Whenever I have needed something, Jeff and the other maintenance team members have been so quick and helpful on taking care of the matter. Great community that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a new place to live.
