Amazing apartments and genuinely the best maintenance team I've ever had, and I've lived in a lot of apartments. Every time I've put in a request the team has been by within an hour, and if I put in a request after hours they've been ready at 8 AM the next day.

I moved in 2 months ago and I really enjoy the place. The process to get approved went really quickly. I like my location. I am close to the dog park and the dumpster so I don’t use valet trash but I know a lot of other people do. I feel very safe walking around the complex at night and there’s a trail behind the apartments that is nice to walk by. Also I think it’s convenient that DART buses are always going by. It’s a 10 minute bus ride to Whole Foods and that little shopping area. I had a maintenance issue and they resolved it fairly quickly. I don’t like the new parking for guest, but I have a garage so I’m not too worried about it. Overall 5/5

My experience overall was great. Management has been great throughout my application and move-in process. The community is quiet and maintenance requests are completed timely. Management and maintenance are both extremely responsive. It’s a well kept complex and the grounds are maintained. Feels safe and clean while on walks and it’s in a great central location. Beautiful place to live! The amenities are great, floorplans are spacious and well-arranged, and the atmosphere is comfortable. I got a taste of it with a short-term lease for a temporary stay, and loved it enough for it to be my first and only pick coming back! The staff is extremely helpful, Layne did a fantastic job selling the property when I toured and answering my numerous questions, as well as helping work out any problems I encountered. Can't wait to be back there.

Came here to shoutout the maintenance crew. They have been so quick to respond to requests! This past week, my heater needed some TLC and my garage door had an issue. Both times, within a few hours they had the problem fixed. My garage messed up on a Sunday, I figured they wouldn’t be able to come around until Monday but within two hours they were here fixing it. Thank yall so much for your help and kindness!

My wife and I lived at Prairie Creek before moving to Florida several years ago. When I retired and we moved back to Texas to be near family, we made it a priority to return to Prairie Creek. We have been totally satisfied with the new management team and the upgraded facilities. I especially like the proximity to major transportation hubs, bike and nature trails, and workout facilities. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, convenient, and friendly community.

Edit: Management reached out and they are going to replace the AC unit and they brought portable ACs in the meantime. Great response to be honest. Thank you. We just moved in last night. The AC doesn't work and they are trying to convince us that it is normal. Not sure how this will end up but that is a horrible start.

I love it here. It’s great. The staff is so nice. They have such great communication skills. They really know how to do their job. Email notifications are always punctual and informative. The property stays clean. The maintenance staff is top tier. I see a lot of people with pets but I’ve never seen any dog feces on the grass. The pools are always clean and open for use. It’s overall a clean and safe community. :)

4 years ago when I moved to Dallas I took a tour of Cortland Prairie Creek. It was a Sat and they had one leasing agent named Jeff Echols. He was amazing taking me on a tour and showing me all the features and amenities. Unfortunately at the time my job was in Irving and it was a drive I didn't want to make daily. I never forgot Jeff and 2 years ago I was offered a job that was close to Prairie creek so my wife and I stopped by and while talking to the leasing agent I asked about Jeff. Turned out he was now the assistant manager of the community. We end up starting the paperwork to move in and I get a call from Jeff to welcome me to the community and we talked like we have been life long friends. It's been 2 years now and we love living here. Jeff and his staff are amazing, always willing to help going above and beyond. I feel blessed to live in this community and have gained a good friend.

My husband and I toured the community with Georgia. She was professional and knowledgeable. I loved her sunny disposition and honesty. She made us feel welcome as we talked through the specifics of our situation and family dynamic. Georgia followed up same day with answers to my questions that were a little more involved. The floor plan we wanted wasn't available the day we toured. What I appreciate most is her willingness to keep following up with me on availability until we could get locked in on a new apartment. I recently moved into The Cortland, and overall my experience has been pleasant. Everyone in the office has been very kind and informative, even checking in after the move. We had a few maintenance requests the first weekend, and the maintenance crew took care of all of them on that Monday. There was a little mix up with our floor plan, so we did not get the large front closet that we thought we were getting. There is plenty of cabinet space in the kitchen and garage though! Other than that, it’s been a pretty easy transition! The parking lot is also very spacious, which is a big plus when compared to a lot of apartments I’ve seen.

10/9/23: This review is not written for promotion of the community. I am writing this review after staying in the community for one and a half month now. I am a first year graduate student at UTD and I find this place is like 4.5/5 but then I did not want to give 4 because that would be downgrading the community. We know every coin has two side and this community has its cons too but then the pros outweigh them. Let me first list them out. Pros: 1. Quiet community: I live a bit towards the roadside, but then I have never heard the constant noises of the cars that go on the road. 2. Very clean: The community trash pickup is on time and is done everyday except Sundays (cuz who wants to work on a sunday, smh). 3. 5/5 apartment service. You have something wrong in your apartment? submit a request and they are at your door the next day. I love it here. There are so many mature trees and a beautiful walking trail behind the complex. It's quiet but everyone you cross paths with are super friendly and will stop to chat if you like. One of the best properties I've ever lived in 16 yrs and 10+ apartments.

This is probably the longest review I have ever written. I have lived here in the past back in 2019, I enjoyed the community so much that I came back. It’s safe, peaceful, and quiet for my family and I. I love the location because I have access to both major highways. However, I was a little hesitant because what I use to pay compared to what I currently pay for the same floor plan is pretty crazy, but seems normal with the market. Everything have been renovated since and I do have an attached garage with a yard. I could have went to a cheaper property. What really won me over was Layne and Georgia. I suddenly had to move and been to so many properties. The quality service and the treatment I received was beyond amazing and was consistent . The apartment was ready, but need some tweaks here and there. The office and the maintenance team were so quick and on it. This is a beautiful community. The pools are gorgeous to hang out around and the gym has all of the essential equipment to get that workout in. The staff and the maintenance team are efficient and a delight to know. It is a safe place to walk around. The trash is picked up in a timely manner and the trash containers are kept emptied. The landscaping is beautiful and well groomed. We love living in this community for years to come!

I’ve lived at Cortland Prairie Creek apartments since August 2022. My experience has been wonderful! Layne, in the office, is kind and helpful. Maintenance requests are addressed promptly. An added bonus is that many apartments there have attached garages. It’s a great place to live!

My experience at Cortland Prairie Creek has been amazing so far. Everyone is super friendly and the property is very well kept. We have only had to put in one service request and someone on the maintenance team came over within 10 minutes! We would definitely renew our lease when the time comes. The community team will resolve if there is any complaint within 4 hours maximum. leasing office team are very friendly, attentive. Me and my husband have been living at this property for over 2 years now and I just have to say this is our forever home we do not plan on moving. The girls in the office are amazing and treat you as part of the family and not just a resident and the maintenance team is A++ they are always on top of things and are fast to complete what needs to be fixed or addressed. Loved living here. Most apartments have a yard. Unfortunately, I received a renewal offer with a more than $300 monthly increase. The market is hot so there is not much room for negotiating. The staff is really nice. Pest control could be a little better. Would have stayed a few years if not for the huge rent increase.

I truly love my apartment home. It feels more like a home than an apartment. It is quite at night and during the day. The walls are thick and no noise from the neighbors is heard. I have hopped around 5 complexes over the last 8 years and never enjoyed my stay. Here, I couldn’t be happier. The whole process of touring, picking up keys etc was extremely smooth. I’ve lived here now for about 5 months and have no complaints. The grounds are always very well maintained, quiet neighborhood, the units are awesome. Safe area. AC/Heat work well, tons of storage, brand new Samsung Smart appliances (you can pre-heat/turn off your oven with your Alexa), I’ve never heard my neighbors . Highly recommend anyone looking for a new place to check out Cortland Prairie Creek.

I've been living here for 2 years now and it's been amazing!! The maintenance guy, Even Collins, has always been so nice and professional. I was locked out of my apartment one night and he showed up in under two minutes after calling and got my door open for me. He even went as far as to help me bring my groceries inside. When presented with some unfortunate policy changes regarding lease renewals at a pivotal time in the year, Jeff in the leasing office took our concerns seriously - even though this new policy came from corporate, not our own local office - and helped us to rectify the issue in less than 2 days. People seem to rate apartment complexes poorly, but we've never had any real issue that wasn't taken seriously and resolved in a reasonable amount of time - plus its nice when the office staff are understanding and very down-to-earth despite how large Cortland is as a corporation. Decent apartments, great location, great staff, amazing maintenance department, lots of amenities - its a good place to call home.

Prairie Creek is such a great place to live. The Cortland staff have been great since they took over (especially Audra), and the maintenance staff here absolutely cannot be beat. Definitely consider living here if you can reasonably afford it. Very dog friendly community as well!

We have only been here a few days and yet compared with our previous apartment complex it is 100% better! The interiors have been completely renovated and not just ‘updated’ as in painting over old they have fitted and replaced flooring; it is a lovely grey laminate wood look. The appliances; tiled shower baths -all new and not the cheapest available; granite countertops; fireplace; nice patios and more!. Our garage has ample space for storage we sorely needed and the car too! It appears to be a quiet neighborhood with parks for children; dog areas and bags provided; trails are all around us too. We had a few items on our walk through that were attended to the day after I reported them. Noteworthy consideration in a place where the work is still being done to repair a storm related flooded clubhouse and upgrade other vacating units. I had one construction concern about a single towel bar in the baths; but I confess every rental we have ever had has a single towel bar in every bathroom - so I can’t hold that s

Our move in has been absolutely incredible. We came to the community with very short notice following a short term lease in another community following a flood in our home. Audra has gone above and beyond staying on top of any needs and following up with our progress as well as Jeff The communication lines have been seamless and diligent. The staff do a very good job supporting each other to keep things moving forward. Thank you for all your hard work and helping us get settled. Stay well.

This community is one of the nicest communities in the area by far! The staff is extremely welcoming and professional. Audra is very informative, professional, and has a great attitude towards new and current residents!

Great value for older property. Cortland took over recently and is making many improvements externally and with apartments as they become available for new tenants. People in the community are also very nice and family oriented. Feel very safe and quiet. The property is older so things break but the Facilities team (especially Roger) have it fixed extremely fast. Facilities Team A+. Maybe others are more lucky than us but office staff service has been very average. Overall, if you are ok with a little older property (making improvements) with quick maintenance and family friendly environment---this could be your future home.

Jeff is amazing!!! Probably one of the best leasing agents I’ve seen in a long time. He is an assets to the company. He was very patient, and kind. He understood our needs and wants, and then delivered the damn thing! He is the reason why I chose to move to this location even if my move in date is further than I’d like. The wait is worth it!

I have lived here for two years now and have had a great experience. In those two years I have lived in two different units, and they made the transfer process so easy. Since being picked up by new management the prices are a little higher, but they are doing some awesome renovations to the community, so I can't complain at all. What sold me on living here is the backyards that some of the units have. That is such a rarity to come by in an apartment community! I am looking forward to moving to a new unit once again this coming summer, and I know they will make the process a breeze. I never feel like I am being ripped off or scammed in any way by this location, and that's worth more than anything! Audra in the front office is always quick to respond and makes sure all issues are solved in a timely manner. Trayce, the community manager, is also very quick to make sure things are taken care of. Clearly, I have nothing but good things to say about this place! I would highly recommend this location to anyone looki

Me and my husband Jerry moved in on Feb 13th and we just love it here. Everything for the day of the move in went smooth even tho we moved when the snow storm hit. Trayce is such a pleasure to work with. If your thinking about moving here I say DO IT AND YOU WONT REGRET IT.

I'm so impressed with the entire staff at Prairie Creek Villas! I called in near 5p (they close at 6p) after spending an entire day with an apartment locator seeing 7 other properties throughout the North Dallas area (to no avail). I came in town from NJ specifically to find my new home and was limited with the amount of time in Dallas. I saw Prairie Creek Villas on a drive-by while returning to my daughter's residence, after my tiresome day with the apartment locator. Took note of the name of the property and immediately called and requested a tour of the property and a specific floor-plan. I initially spoke with Tracye and she directed me to Audra, who couldn't have been more professional, welcoming and informative. I arrived and was greeted by both of them. Long story short, I can't wait to become a resident and within 48 hours my application was processed and I signed my lease agreement. After which, I dropped by again for a "look-see" and was accommodated immediately!

Prairie Creek is it excellent community with many good people, nice management, and a excellent maintenance staff. My experience was with a 2 bedroom 15 month rental. When it came time to leave the staff was very helpful. We ended up receive 100% of our deposit back. I would highly recommend this complex.

Living in this community for the past 10 years has been very pleasant. It is conveniently located to the Bush Turnpike, I-75, shopping, restaurants, local businesses, etc. The office staff are friendly and professional, the maintenance staff complete work orders in a timely manner, and my neighbors are great. I also appreciate the remodeled gym. This is a wonderful community to live in and I highly recommend.

These apartments are really good. Ample space for parking. Leasing Staff is also cooperative. Overall Nice experience living at Cortland Prairie Creek.
