I just moved in, and after a month, I wanted to take a moment to share some positive feedback about the staff. From day one, we've felt very welcomed, and the kindness they've shown has been amazing. Specifically, Morales has gone above and beyond, not only with great attitude and answering our questions about how to use and care for our appliances (fireplace, laundry unit, etc.), but also helping with some installations in the apartment, he is awesome and we appreciate all his help. This has confirmed that we made the right decision in becoming a Cortland resident. Shout out to Kenneth (onboarding) and Cleo (frontdesk) as well!

I just finished my 15-month lease at Cortland and overall, I loved living here. 95% of the time, you’ll be happy here. It’s a great area, super walkable to the Metro and National Landing. Whole Foods and Costco are nearby, the neighbors are generally quiet, the amenities are well maintained, and the floor plans are spacious, bright, and good quality. The maintenance team is also incredibly responsive, and I rarely had any issues during my time here. My biggest criticism is the leasing office and management team. While some staff members are friendly and helpful, the office as a whole feels disorganized, difficult to reach, and poorly coordinated. During both move-in and move-out, I often had to physically go to the office multiple times just to get answers or speak with the right person. We also experienced repeated emails, missed messages, and inconsistent communication between staff members. The move-out process was especially frustrating. I reserved the freight elevator in advance, but it was unavailable

I've had a great experience at Cortland Pentagon City. The location is one of the biggest advantages; everything is nearby, whether it's restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, or public transportation. The apartments are clean and well maintained, and the amenities are honestly some of the best parts of the community. The pool, gym, BBQ area, social decks, and workspaces are all well kept and make it easy to enjoy your time at home. What really stands out, though, is the staff. I toured here last week and really liked my experience with Mollie. I was a bit skeptical at first because I went to C@ South Eads and was referred to PC since SE didn't have any 1 bedroom units. When I walked in and explained the reason of me coming there, one of the concierge representatives shut me down from speaking with a leasing agent without even trying to help me or see if they were available. Thankfully the other representative was there and corrected her colleague and assisted me. I drove up from 2 hours away, things come up and I would hope that someone would be understanding of me being referred from a sister company. Perhaps you should always lead with what you can do instead of what you can't when it comes to sales and customer experience. Furthermore, I immediately thought of my seniored mother. What if she came in to visit me and needed assistance but was turned away without even an attempt to help... Thankfully, Mollie was available to give me a tour and I really liked what the community had

This hotel is extremely clean, which I really appreciated. The space comes with plenty of conveniences—high‑speed internet, security, a gym, three TVs, a gas stove and oven, a full fridge/freezer with ice, a dishwasher, an iron, ironing board, fan, and lots of towels. They also provide two laundry pods, which was a nice touch. However, there were several missing essentials: no washcloths, no dish cloths, no Kleenex, no dishwasher soap, and limited toilet paper (about a roll and a half—could be an issue for larger families). The kitchen setup is convenient but comes with limited dishes. The biggest drawback was the window situation. There are privacy curtains, but no sun‑blocking curtains, so I had to hang blankets to block street visibility and keep the light out. On the positive side, the water gets hot, the location is convenient, and there are restaurants across the street with a Whole Foods less than a minute away. Overall: super clean and well‑equipped, but missing some basic supplies and privacy fea

Honestly, I’ve been at Cortland Pentagon City for about six months now, and I’m really happy with it. You can’t beat this location—being able to just walk to the Metro, the mall, and all the food spots nearby makes such a huge difference for my commute and my weekends. The unit itself is solid, everything feels pretty modern, and the gym is actually decent—definitely better than a lot of other places I looked at around here. Whenever I’ve needed a maintenance fix, the office team has been quick to sort it out, and they do a good job keeping the hallways and lobby looking clean. Ngl the parking garage can be a bit of a headache when it's busy, and if you’re on the street side, you’ll definitely hear the city noise—but I guess that’s the trade-off for being in the middle of everything. Overall, though, I’m glad I moved here. Definitely worth checking out if you want to be right in the mix.

Dolce Edwards showed me the apartments during the apartment tour visit. He showed me around 8+ apartments without getting tired! Since moving in, we’ve truly enjoyed this building. The location is fantastic, with so many great food options nearby, making it an easy and fun place to live. Our building has a concierge/front desk woman named Cleo . From the moment we moved in, she went above and beyond—especially when we were having issues with packages being returned. She took the time to learn our names and unit number, which made such a difference and showed how much she genuinely cares about residents. Macey Shonyo (Assistant Community Manager) and Freddie with the maintenance team at Cortland Pentagon City have been absolutely outstanding. From day one, Macey has been professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful—she makes communication easy and always follows through. On the maintenance side, Freddie and the team provide some of the best service I’ve experienced in an apartment community: fast response times, respectful and courteous in-home service, and they take the time to get things done the right way. A couple examples: when I had issues with my washing machine and stove, they responded quickly, diagnosed the problem efficiently, and resolved it without me having to chase updates. What I appreciate most is their attention to preventive maintenance: especially with the A/C and heater, staying ahead of issues so I’m not dealing with emergencies later. Overall, the customer service and maintenance support here is top-tier, and I truly feel taken care of. Highly recommend!

We have been living at the Cortland for several years. We absolutely love it. When we needed more space, we changed apartments instead of moving. The area is beautiful and it's convenient. The bldg staff is responsive and they are quick to handle any and all issues. They also follow up to see if you're satisfied with your work. I report everything and they handle issues with the most professional responses. We have building activities that are posted. The grounds are nice and clean and we have the most beautiful wine and sanctuary on the top floor. I reserved it for Thanksgiving and my family was so impressed. We had a wonderful dinner then did a paint and sip. Pictures below. I highly recommend this property. It's perfect. My family is extremely happy.

Josue arrived incredibly fast—approximately 20 minutes after I placed the emergency call. I recently had a maintenance request for my dishwasher and heater, and the experience was excellent. The issue was addressed quickly, and everything is now working perfectly. Josué García, who handled the repairs, was very communicative throughout the process — he explained what the problem was, how it was fixed, and even shared what to do if it happens again. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service provided and appreciate the professionalism and efficiency of the maintenance team.

I moved into Cortland Pentagon City last Friday. Since it’s my first time living in the Washington area, everything feels new, and the process of finding a home was not easy. However, with the help of Dashe and the leasing office staff, I was able to settle in smoothly. Dashe, in particular, was incredibly kind and patient, always answering my many questions and providing valuable support. Cortland Pentagon City has become very comfortable and pleasant after the recent renovations. Of course, there may be some minor inconveniences, but I am looking forward to living happily here.

I’ve really enjoyed living here. The apartment community is clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The two pools are a major highlight, perfect for both relaxing and socializing. It’s rare to find a place that offers two separate pool areas, and having that option has been a great benefit. The location is another reason this apartment stands out. It’s close to shops, restaurants, and major roads, which makes commuting and running errands very convenient. Even with everything nearby, the community still feels peaceful and private. The management team is helpful and responsive, and maintenance requests have been handled quickly and professionally. Overall, this has been a very positive living experience, and I would confidently recommend it to others.

I recently stayed in the guest suite at Cortland Pentagon City and was really impressed. The suite was spotless, modern, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The building itself is packed with amenities, and having access to two beautiful pools was a definite highlight—perfect for relaxing or getting in a quick swim. The location is super convenient, close to shops, restaurants, and major employers. With extras like a fitness center, secure parking, and friendly staff, I’d highly recommend Cortland Pentagon City to anyone looking for a great place to stay or live in Arlington!

My boyfriend and I moved in to Cortland PC in March. The reviews scared me a little bit, but I’m glad we didn’t listen to them. We had a few slight things with move in process, but all were negligible. The maintenance team is top tier, and will come the next day after putting a request in. There are 2 beautiful rooftop pools. You’re walking distance to Whole Foods and tons of shops, restaurants & the mall. The social deck is clean and has working grills (unheard of at most apartments) and our concierge’s are always so kind and friendly. The gym is kept very clean. The residents that live in our building are so nice. The only con I can say, which no where is perfect, is the elevator situation. A lot of the time there is only one working elevator - and if you live into building 1331 there is no freight elevator. Make sure if your buying a couch or bringing your own you measure the couch and elevator - we did have to return our couch after purchasing a new one because it did not fit in the ‘freight’ elevator - w

I had an incredibly enjoyable stay at the Cortland Pentagon City guest suite! From the moment I arrived, everything felt comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed for both short and long stays. The suite itself was modern, spacious, and fully equipped, making it feel like a true home away from home. One of the best parts of the experience was the unbeatable location. Everything I needed was just a short walk or quick metro ride away—shops, restaurants, and major attractions like the Pentagon, National Mall, and Crystal City. Being so close to both the city center and Reagan National Airport made getting around effortless. The building amenities were also a huge plus. The fitness center, lounge areas, and secure access made the stay feel even more convenient and relaxing. The staff and community were welcoming and helpful throughout my visit.

I absolutely love this property. The customer service is amazing. If you have any questions or concerns someone is always available to answer. The apartment building is clean and beautiful. There is a wonderful pool. Not to mention Macey (The assistant community manager) is the absolute BEST! What a wonderful person, kind, personable and professional, she was a big help during my journey of finding my new place.

I’ve been living at Cortland Pentagon City for a year now, and I like it here. The building itself is beautiful, super clean, and has everything you could want—great amenities, renovated apartments, and a really convenient location. But what’s made the biggest difference for me has been the people, especially Dashe, one of the leasing agents. From the very beginning, she’s been nothing but kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. She always takes the time to make sure everything is clear and that you feel taken care of. Moving can be super stressful, but Dashe made the whole process feel easy and welcoming. If you're thinking about moving here, I 100% recommend it. And if you get to work with Dashe, you're in great hands!

We recently moved in a few weeks ago and have had a great experience! The entire Concierge Desk team has been friendly, especially both Barbaras. Maintenance has always been quick to respond (within a few hours) to address issues, especially Freddy. And the value you get for the location, renovated units and reopened amenities is great, making the remaining renovation projects like the elevators and entryway more palatable. Overall, we are highly satisfied with our decision to move to Cortland Pentagon City.

I moved in just under a year ago and have really enjoyed it. The complex is located in a great area, the amenities are really nice, and I have been treated very well by the staff here, in particular Laquita, Melvin, Barbie, and Everett. It can get a little loud with the renovations if you work from home, but it hasn’t been a major concern. Overall, I’ve had a wonderful time living here!

Having lived at Cortland for a year, I can confidently say that this has been one of the best living experiences I've ever had. From the moment I moved in, I was welcomed by the incredibly friendly and supportive staff. LaQuita Graves and Dashe Bell in particular, have been exceptional. Their dedication and professionalism truly make this complex feel like home. Tahirah Atkinson at the front desk is always ready to assist with a smile. The location in Pentagon City is perfect, everything I need is within easy reach. Whether it's grocery stores, restaurants, parks, or public transportation, the convenience is unparalleled. It's wonderful to be able to walk or drive just a short distance to access everything I need. The apartments themselves are fantastic – spacious, modern, and filled with natural light. The amenities, including the swimming pool, fitness center, and community spaces enhance the overall living experience. My year at Cortland has been nothing short of amazing, it's a place I love to call home.

I’ve lived at CPC for a few years now & can say the maintenance department is amazing!!! The manager is named Melvin & he always gets the work orders out quickly, has his crew knock out the work, & always has a positive attitude. Melvin is the person who keeps the building running & is always talking to residents as he traverses through the building. Melvin & his team are the best I have experienced while living up here & we (residents) & Cortland corporation is lucky to have him.
