Hello, I had such a wonderful experience during my stay at Cortland Independence last weekend. From the moment I reached out to Heidy, the Community Manager, everything was exceptional. She was responsive, attentive, and warm. Heidy walked me through the process of reserving the guest suite, gave me a tour of the community, and showed me around the apartment. The guest suite itself was impeccable, modern, comfortable, and truly felt like a home away from home. I was pleasantly surprised to find a personalized welcome sign and some sweet treats waiting for me upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch. The community was clean, well-maintained, and peaceful. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I give it a 10 out of 10 and would absolutely stay here again! -Aileen Diaz

**EDIT** so far this home is great; very family/pet friendly, quiet and theres an ice cream truck! LOL..however, the mailroom is a bit scary - dark, dirty and smells; other issue thus far is the fact I've fallen twice on uneven sidewalk. Aside from those minor issues, we're happy to be home. **also, keep in mind, if you want the first floor..the millipedes here are horrendous. I kill at least 10 a day inside the apartment - on the floor, walls, carpet and had a few on my bed. Around the outside door is ridiculous and there is nothing an exterminator can do** The ONLY reason I'm giving 3 stars is because we haven't moved in; and I cannot wait to do so. The apartments seem to be well taken care of, as do the grounds. Hannah was our leasing agent months ago - and she was awesome in keeping in touch with me, letting me know when the floorplan we wanted became available and has been with us step by step throughout the application. Looking forward to our next adventure here.

I love living at Cortland independence. It is probably one of the nicest communities that I have ever lived in. Desiree in the front office was spectacular for our move-in experience, and continues to be responsive when needed no matter the issue which we haven’t had many. We are happy to have landed here.

Cortland is a great community. The area is beautiful with so many nature conservation areas and being in the middle of a neighborhood. The staff is always quick to respond whether it's a maintenance request or a question to the Leasing office. Great community. You can start in apartments, upgrade to townhomes, then one story houses all the way to mansions. Everyone is nice, you can walk outside at night safely, and management is one-of-a-kind. Great for starting families.

My family's experience at Cortland has been great. The community is great and my son has loved it. We only have one issue with the apartment, because now that we know more about it we realize that the Jefferson floor plan is a better fit for us than the Benjamin floor plan, which was available when we arrived.

We've lived here for about 2 months so far and have had nothing but a positive experience. Staff is kind and helpful and our living space is exactly what we were shown when on the tour. While we don't take part in every amenity, the pool is wonderful and we love the ability to be able to take a walk while feeling safe in the surrounding area. We also love that it's close to many stores - Target, Aldi, Publix, Walmart, etc.. and have grown to love the community thus far!

Being able to find an apartment home near *nature*, in a quiet/safe neighborhood, away from freeway noise was something that was super important to me when I first moved in and has still been at the top of my list. I have lived here since 2019 and have seen such a drastic improvement since it was transformed in Courtland Independence from the previous management company. If you are looking for a place to call home, where you can have great neighbors, walk your dog, be close to parks and nature, this is absolutely the perfect location. The team at Courtland Independence looks out for you, answers questions in a timely and friendly manner, makes you feel like you are truly a part of a community. A great location in a safe and quiet neighborhood. These apartments are in the midst of renovations and they are beautiful! Spacious apartments with updated appliances. Maintenance team and office staff are quick to respond and resolve any issues in a timely manner. Communication is better than the average. The buildings are concrete which is nice. Pet friendly and plenty of sidewalks and trails for a nice walk. Full access to the neighborhood amenities too. Close to Disney, close to shops, close to freeways. Wonderful location. Friendly community.

I went in for a tour with Mariah and I couldn’t be more happy with her service. She was patient, listened to my needs, and came up with a plan in order to get me moved in and make me as happy and comfortable as possible. I appreciate Mariah’s professionalism and her ability to answer all my questions with a smile. I was thoroughly impressed with the apartments at Independence. They’re renovated so everything is brand new. The apartments have everything I need and then the amenities on top of that. Pool, hot tub, huge dog park and a couple of playgrounds for kids. Tons of trails also and sidewalks for running and taking the dog out. It is a very quiet neighborhood that’s family friendly and out of the way of all the business of Orlando. I highly recommend this property.

We have been here for a month, and we really recommend this place if you have kids and looking for a good home with a wonderful school, calm and safe neighbourhood . We love everything about Cortland independent so far . The staff are very kind and helpful, they make our moving process easy and smooth . We want to thank Ms Amanda who was helping us from the moment we came here until now , if we have any problems in the apartment we just let her know and she helps us right away. There is 2 swimming pools , 2 gym , and an amazing club house for the kids to enjoy their time . Overall i am more than satisfied about our decision to make Cortland Independence our new home .

Love living in this complex. They have spacious apartments in a great residential area that can be hard to find in central Florida. They truly listen to their residents and are quick to react to any concerns. Great communication. Wonderful resident offerings like complimentary special events that often includes food :D. Cherry on top is their openness to pets. My dog loves the dog parks close by and visiting the office for treats.

I have stayed at a lot of apartments and I must say that Cortland Independence has been the best in regards of communication. They are very resident friendly. The apartments are being renovated and the new renovations are beautiful. they have events for the residents and it’s really a nice community to be a part of. The buildings are concrete so the noise level is minimal. The hallways and area are clean too. The area is a great spot in independence. The amenities are great and super pet friendly. Absolutely enjoy living here.

Living here has been the best choice I’ve made! The staff is so friendly and helpful throughout the entire move in process and stays present and supportive once moved in and acclimated to the community. Any time I needed to put in a work order the team is there to fix it so quickly. There is access to great pools and events in the community. The location is perfect. I simply love this complex, the staff is friendly, the responses are right away and so is the maintenance team, I am specially thankful for Amanda our lease specialist, she helped us with each step of the way she’s simply amazing. I have lived here just over one year now and love it! The staff is super friendly and helpful, maintenance requests are always resolved quickly, and it is located in a great neighborhood! Our dog loves the dog parks and we love all of the amenities provided as well. The complex gives off a very warm and welcoming energy, and that energy extends inside of each home. I would highly recommend Cortland Independence for anyone looking!

Cortland Independence has been an absolutely lovely place to live! I have lived here just over one year now and it’s the first place I’ve lived in the area that truly feels like a community and home. The staff are super helpful, and always make time to answer any questions, and maintenance requests are always quickly responded to and resolved. The amenities are also great (our dog would 100% recommend the dog parks). I would highly recommend this complex for anyone looking!

Living here has been so peaceful! The location is ideal, surrounded by everything you need. The staff is top-notch, always friendly and efficient. Amenities are great, so many fun festivities and activities. events add a delightful community touch. Safety is a priority, providing peace of mind i’m perfectly comfortable walking my dog late at night and you even see kids bike riding in the neighborhood. Couldn't be happier here!

I’ve lived in Cortland since February and I have to say - it’s been a blessing for my family. We take nice evening walks every day with our dog. It’s a quiet neighborhood where ppl decorate their front yards kind of vibe. We’ve enjoyed the events and our neighbors are really nice. It’s close to the parks and shops so it’s helped with commuting but it’s in a residential area so not tourist traffic. I love it here! There really aren’t any issues and the location is like no other. Happy to have found it & call it home!

I’ve been grateful to call this community home for the past 2 years and continuing. They offer great amenities, gym, pool, public grill, and community events for all major holidays. They have an awesome staff, not only in the office but the maintenance as well. All work orders get answered and resolved pretty quick with no revisits I would recommend this community for anyone who has a little one or loves having awesome neighbors.

I had such a wonderful experience through all the process moving in. Beverly was very professional, attentive to details and answered all my questions. Also, I had a deep cut on my index finger and I went to her office to ask for guidance, and she helped me giving me some items from her first aid kit and orienting me an urgent care clinic to go to, because I needed stitches. All the team is amazing, Mariah, Amanda and Kelly!We entered the apartment and they surprised us with a welcome sign and flowers! Thank you so much!

I moved to Cortland Independence six weeks ago and everything has exceeded my expectations! The buildings are well maintained, safe, and clean. I’m delighted every morning by how beautiful the grounds are kept up. And certainly the staff (Beverly, Mariah, Amanda, Mitch, and Michael, to name a few) are the best! I went to visit this property a few weeks ago to see a few available apartments for relocation of a few clients! As a fellow Leasing consultant, Property manger, Now staffing manager this property was magnificent! The gym has state-of-the-art equipment and is open 24/7. They have a Leash-Free Bark Park which is the perfect place for you and your pet to chill! Two Swimming Pools and a Heated Spa for the perfect place to relax and socialize. The common areas are always kept spotless and are a great place to meet other residents. One of the best features of the Cortland Independence apartments is its location. It's conveniently located near several shopping centers, restaurants, and a grocery stores!

I’ve been with Cortland for 2 years and just moved into Cortland Independence- best community I’ve ever lived in. I’m from Miami where traffic is your neighbor and the closest park is 30 min away. Here - traffic is low, concrete building makes it quiet, shopping plazas are within 5mins and the neighborhood is breathtaking. I now enjoy my home, surrounding areas and things Orlando has to offer. I’m 5 mins from Disney and our dog enjoys miles worth of walking trails and 2 dog parks. The staff is amazing! Helpful, kind and ready to help/answer questions. Beverly helped me lease, she is very kind. Amanda is always friendly and the managers always a communicate what’s going on in the community in a timely fashion.

A great place to live, cool community events, good amenities. Two gyms, two pools, hot tub, community events include fireworks for 4th of July and other holiday events, food trucks, etc.

Lived here when it was Falcon Square under the previous management company as well, in such a short amount of time I can't compliment the people on the property enough for what a thorough job of getting this place to be back on track as a modern apt community in a prime location with new standard setting aptartments finished monthly in the area. From social media, communication with residents, to the grounds and maintenance crews. I do have to single out Jedica, Beverly and Mariah who have specifically. They could not better at thier jobs and must be underpaid. As an office and individuals; from move-in 8/26 to yesterday; and perfectly executed office business to my dumb questions last minute. 11/10 they are the 💣

I visited the Cortland Independence leasing office to wrap my Christmas gifts today. They had everything you need to wrap your gifts. There’s many different wrapping papers to choose from, bows, ribbons, tape, labels, scissors, pens and boxes. It’s beautiful and such a wonderful convenience for them to provide.

I've enjoyed living at Cortland Independence! The team in the leasing office is pretty dope, and Beverly has always helped me out with a smile on her face! There's a nice walking path that goes about two miles through the community that I love to use, and the community feels super safe no matter the time of day!

Cortland has been great for the last year 1/2! Transferred to Independence a few months ago and I’m so happy. They’re redoing the windows and the new paint looks great so far! Beverly was helpful in the office and she spoke Spanish which was helpful for us !

We recently moved in to Cortland and had the pleasure of working with Beverly who was incredibly attentive the entire process even when weren’t sure what exactly we wanted as far as floor plans, Beverly was always happy to answer our questions and worked with us through the lengthy process of us making the decision but we are incredibly happy with our new home and how responsive all of the staff has been even throughout the holiday week.

Cortland Independence is a great place to call home. The staff have been so helpful and attentive to my needs, I couldn't be more pleased with their service! The location is definitely unbeatable and very convenient. I love being so close to Disney and getting to participate in the community events and HOA events. The renovations taking place are definitely giving the community a much needed face-lift as well! I would recommend Cortland Independence to anyone looking to live in the Winter Garden area.

I am happy lo leave here, office and maintenance stuff are always ready to help and they are very knowledgeable. My family and I enjoy the facilities and we feel secure walking our dog at any time. We see the improvements day by day. We recommend Cortland Independence to anyone. The location of this community is completely unbeatable. The schools in the area are top notch, proximity to parks is perfect, tons of nature walking trails, and conveniently located near lots of food and grocery. Though change is always tough, the new management company, Cortland, has been great. The staff is really friendly and helpful and they are starting to improve the aging property to give it a fresh look. I love that we get to use the Independence HOA amenities and the we can participate in the HOA events. Cortland has also started hosting events for the apartment residents that seem to be pretty fun as well! Overall, I am happy with my home here!

This is such a nice area, so many things to do around the neighborhood. We got a tour of the apartments from Jedica and she was so nice and welcoming; really made our apartment hunting so much easier. The apartments are located in Independence, as a former resident of the area we are hoping to get an apartment here in the next few months. It’s Budget friendly and definitely a great place to live! Come check it out! :)

Fomos bem atendidos e havia disponibilidade de unidades para locação. Os prédios ficam bem próximos da Independence Elementary que tem ótima qualidade e ao lado do parque. Uma excelente opção para quem tem filhos pequenos.

When I saw this place online I didn't like the white appliances and wanted more from a place to that I was interested in but my friend really encouraged me to check it out. Let me be honest the other pictures of the amenities did have me interested. I was glad a made an appointment for viewing. The pool, the gym, and the living spaces were awesome. I thought my last place was luxury but this place is exquisite. Elegant and safe, staff is always professional - shout out to Nina for working with me on concerns. Also want to give a shout to the remainder of the leasing team for getting me hooked up. Had to leave a review cause I like this place so much. Thanks for making this the best apartment experience I've had thus far.
