It was nice to learn that the property is under new management. The changes Cortland has made to the community are fantastic. I got a tour by Mackensie and she was phenomenal. She went out of her way to make me feel welcomed as soon as I entered the property and spared me no detail selling all the key benefits and changes made. Would highly recommend Cortland West Village!

My boyfriend and I just moved in 2 weeks ago. The Overall move in experience has been really great. The leasing staff is always very helpful and attentive to any questions/issues that we may have. We really enjoy living here, and are glad that we chose Cortland. I would recommend this apartment complex for anyone who is in search of a nice, safe , and dog friendly community.

I've been living at Cortland for about a month. When I moved in, there were a couple of issues I had with the apartment, and Blair and the rest of the management team addressed them promptly. They sincerely care about your experience here, and respond promptly to any concerns, which I have greatly appreciated.The renovated apartments are gorgeous, and the area is conveniently located to a lot of amenities, such as gyms and restaurants. Would highly recommend living here.

Edit - October 2023: I have lived here for over 4.5 years (starting March 2019), first under Oakwood, and starting summer 2022 under Cortland. If I didn't have to move to Austin for work, I would absolutely stay in the building until I bought my own home. Even during the construction and the occasional issues it brought - the management definitely did their best so we can be as little disturbed as possible (and I have been working from home this entire time). Now that construction is nearly done, it will even be better. The location, the new amenities, the quick maintenance (I never had to wait more than a day for something to be fixed) - all made living here great. Additionally, while looking for my new apartment in Austin, I have seen more than 25 properties over the course of a few months, so I believe I have a good benchmark for comparison- and it was VERY hard to find something that would compare or exceed this, for an equivalent price of course. I was so impressed with these apartments! They’re beautiful and the amenities were impressive. The best in the area in my opinion. Mackinsie was so knowledgeable and answered all of my questions! I’ve been living here since 2019 which was before the current management company Cortland took over and I’m so glad I stayed. Cortland has been doing a great job improving every aspect of this apartment community. My favorite part is the interior renovation!! I love my new home’s modern, clean, and gorgeous interior as well as built in smarthome technology. Also the management responds to maintenance requests very quick and every staff is super friendly and helpful. Especially Pedro has always been a big help whenever I have any concerns. I often see him staying late at night to keep the community safe.

The security and safety in the building is great, as Pedro does a phenomenal job keeping everything quiet. Maintenance issues are rare- but are resolved in no time when they do happen. The location is walkable and convenient. And the new renovations make the building look even better.

I’ve lived at the property for two years. The upgraded apartment units are modern and have a luxurious touch to them. The complex is quiet with friendly residents. I also love the staff, they are attentive to your needs and very prompt! I 10/10 recommend living at Cortland West Village!

I love it here at Cortland! They have a really friendly and helpful staff who loves dogs! The renovations look terrific and I’m excited to keep living here now that everything is brand new. All my maintenance requests get handled quickly, the on property security makes me feel safe at night, and the walls are very thick, so I never hear my neighbors.

Since moving to Cortland West Village my boyfriend & I have loved every second of it. I have yet to have a single issue, and both Leasing & Assistant Manager/Manager have always taken care of things immediately for me & my neighbors. I feel safe, my dog loves it here & the treats they give. I recommend this community for one in the West Village area! I’ve seen about every mid rise here in this area of West Village & truly this is the best one!!

This apartment has so many things working in its favor! If I didn't work from home while they were renovating the building, I would have loved to stay. The staff is personable, the maintenance team is FAST, and the extra staff in the evening keep things friendly and home-y around the clock! I do have to note that there will be (by their own admission) renovations for the next year.. In the lobby, workroom, gym, and pool area. In the hallways. In the units next to you, above you, and below you. For a year. If you work from home, this is just not the place for you. I wish it was.. otherwise I'd still be living there! Considering the location to Mutts, the DART, bars, the Katy Trail, and the M-Line, this location is prime! If you're a millennial professional that works 9-5 at the office, this is the place for you!

As I am not yet a resident, I cannot speak to living here. However, I recently toured the property and a 2 bedroom unit with Jocelyn and I must say that Jocelyn and Blair at the leasing office are great! They are extremely knowledgeable and approachable and super friendly! Jocelyn gave us a wonderful tour and the units are extremely well updated and very spacious. The finishes and appliances are of amazing quality! We were very impressed. We can’t wait to become residents!

What I loved most about living here is Pedro. He really cares about the building and it’s residents and I felt safe when he was in the building. I was here for me many years and management changed a lot but there was always the feeling of community between all the neighbours and knowing that Pedro would be there.

It was the winter of '89, and hard snow covered the ground. I had recently moved into the area, but the streets were as empty as an old Chisolm trail ghost town. Only Cortland at West Village Apartments stood taller than the rest. A lone obelisk in the barren streets, the apartment building cast a stark silhouette against the frozen white ground. I was able to take shelter within the foundation of the building (which had fantastic insulation) shielding me from the unyielding blizzard roaring outside, where I lived for the next few decades. I had been living in the walls until recently emerging from my hibernation and moving in (formally) last September. Now a member of both the Cortland Community and the surface world, my stay here has been made significantly more pleasant with the addition of air conditioning and a pleasant staff right downstairs. I can always bring work orders or issues too. The proximity to Mutts and the rest of West Village is definitely a big plus, and I couldn't be happier with my team.

Love the convenience of being able to just walk a short distance to tons of restaurants, and shops. I feel safe living here. When I have an issue, maintenance is quick to resolve it. Happy tenant that will be around for a lot longer.

Great property and very accommodating for your maintenance and other needs. Management is always on top of everything and really nice. The location is also extremely convenient as you have everything walking distance from restaurants, convenient stores, multiple gyms, bars, etc. Major plus if you have a dog since you have Mutts Canine Cantina right down stairs. Would 100% recommend living at this property!

The management team is AMAZING and I have really enjoyed my time living here! The management and maintenance team are quick to respond to any request or questions. It's in a great, walkable and pet friendly area and where I feel safe walking by myself. Cortland is also super pet- friendly as many people have dogs/pets. Highly recommend living here!
