Moving from out of state was nerve racking enough while trying to find the right place to call home. Since we previously lived at another Cortland property that we absolutely loved, staying with another Cortland community felt like the perfect fit for us, and we’re so glad we made that decision. Angela was incredible throughout the entire process, from our initial tour all the way to handing us the keys a couple months later. She is so kind, attentive, and helpful, and truly makes us feel like she cares not only about us as residents, but about the community as a whole. The community itself has also been great so far. The pool area is beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet, and the gates work well which helps the property feel much safer and more secure. We did have a couple maintenance issues after move in, but the maintenance team responded very quickly, was extremely kind and professional, and resolved everything without issue. I have been enjoying living at Cortland Woodlands for the past 18 months! I recently renewed my lease agreement because they take care of the residents. I had a very positive experience with a Maintenance Technician, Zha'non Taylor, who came to repair the kitchen faucet (spigot) that was dripping. The faucet had to be replaced because it was beyond repair. I received a beautiful, modern faucet with a sprayer, which was not available on the previous faucet. Zha'non was courteous, very personable, and knowledgeable.

I’ve viewed a unit a week ago with my sister and it makes me want to move there the agent who showed us the property was very knowledgeable about everything from the ammeties, to unit sizes and upgrades that was pointed out. We had a great experience touring the apartments, and Angela was amazing from start to finish. Even though we were a walk-in, she was more than happy to accommodate us and made us feel welcomed right away. She was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable not just about the property, but also about the surrounding neighborhood and schools. Since we’re relocating from out of state, it meant a lot to get honest, real insight about the area, and she took her time answering all of our questions. The apartments themselves were beautiful, updated, and had all the amenities we’re looking for. Angela also clearly explained the application and approval process, which made everything feel simple and stress-free, even from out of state. Overall, this was a great first impression, and we’re definitely considering this community thanks to her help!

Updated Review (February 2026): My original review reflected real frustration during the ownership transition. I wanted to provide an updated perspective. I ultimately decided to renew and transfer into a renovated unit after being offered an incentive. We’ve been in the new unit for about a month, and the transfer process was handled very well. Angela and Malik were responsive and made everything simple and organized, which made a big difference. The renovated units are a noticeable upgrade. The granite countertops, under-cabinet lighting, and tall white cabinetry bring the apartments up to modern standards and make the space feel refreshed and current. There have also been continued improvements throughout the community, including tree removal and progress toward installing a new security gate system (not just replacing gate arms). Maintenance Review: I’ve lived in this community for quite sometime and have always trusted the services done by the maintenance team. Although I’ve only interacted with him a few times, LaMontè has been a great help whenever I’ve had a maintenance request. He has shown up promptly during urgent situations in my unit and handled everything with patience and professionalism. He’s knowledgeable, calm, and takes the time to explain what’s going on. I’ve had a great experience at Cortland Woodlands. They are awesome at keeping up with beautiful landscaping and amenities. This is the first apartment that has a gym that I have actually used with lots of good machines. Maintenance is always so quick and effective, which is HARD to come by with apartments these days. The team definitely seems to care. Specifically, Lamante, on the maintenance team is amazing and always so kind and helpful. I can always count on him no matter how big or small the fix! This is the first complex that I have no complaints about. Definitely recommend!

I moved into Courtland Woodlands in Sept and from the jump I have had an amazing experience. Coming from living in hotels and homelessness with 3 kids while I was in school and graduated the stress level was high. I work with Angela and she was amazing. She made the process so easy and seamless. The property is well taken care of. My unit was fully renovated and the space is huge. Any maintenance issues I have, In my last apartment we waited days and weeks, maintenance is at my door same day if not next morning and they get the job done. I highly recommend CW and Angela and Malik.

I have been living here since 2021 and since Cortlands has become our new managers in 2024 we have had a great experience. What I appreciate is that Cortland management frequently has activities for residents from a party w/ a great DJ, Movie night complete w/ popcorn and refreshments, Pilates classes on tuesdays, swim exercise classes, taco Night and even bingo night. These activities really help the complex feel like a community. I am truly appreciative that I get to enjoy them, brag to my friends and I look forward to monthly calendar to see what I can get into next. Now aside from great activities, maintenance is always swift and efficient and the office staff are great. I look forward to signing my next lease here.

I'm looking for a new place to live ,I just relocated back to Atlanta, I work late so it's hard for me to get to the leasing office before they close. I visited the woodlands at 5:30 on a Saturday and met with Bri. I expected the usual hurry up and get me out of there because it's late but even though it was close to closing, Bri made me a priority and took her time making sure that I got to see all of the types of models I was interested in and took her time showing the property and all it has to offer.

I had the most wonderful experience here. I just move in 03/22/23. The best attention and care through my application process until the day I signed. Please if you come here look out for Angela, one of the leasing agents and for me, the best.. she always help me with everything that I need in the most caring and professional way. Never truly believe the bad reviews because always is gonna be someone with a bad attitude and the response is never gonna be pleasant. Cortland just took ownership 9 month ago and people pretend to have everything fix or done the first 3 month when is more than 400 units here. They have done a lot of work since then and is giving the community a more high-quality living experience. New roof for all the buildings, new painting, renovated pools, gym and common areas, now they are starting to renovate all the units so give them a try and a little bit of more patience. Thank you Angy and Cortland WoodLands for making my living experience wonderful.

I don’t currently live here. However, we have been in the application process, and Brianna has been so helpful! She has answered all of my questions. She was so kind when she toured us around! Despite the construction the leasing office, the property is very nice! The swimming pools and fitness center are exceptional. I have read many reviews for many different complexes, and Courtland seems to have some of the best reviews. Hopefully we will be living here soon!

Brianna was incredibly helpful as a leasing agent. She followed up and answered all my questions while I was admittedly difficult. I read a lot of reviews about the maintenence of the previous management and I will say that my experience with previous cortland properties were fantastic and I would trust the staff to take care of them as they renovate the property. I have nothing but the best to say about cortland and Bri, specifically. The only thing stopping me from renting was getting a great deal from a sister property in the battery.

Just wanted to take the time out to say how much I appreciate the new management and the little things they are doing for the community. It really makes a difference. I had the opportunity to attend the most recent bingo night with my son and daughter. Food was provided and a few prizes. It was really good to get to know some of our neighbors talk laugh and just have a good time to end the work week.

I had the most pleasant interaction with the staff member working on Saturday, Angela. Although I did not make an appointment Ms. Angela took the time out of her busy day as she appeared to be the only one in the office, to explain the rental process to me and even assisted me in setting up a virtual tour, which works better for me and my schedule.
