The maintenance service I received was quick and easy, which I really appreciated. Marquis Davis fixed and repainted my bathtub, installed a new shower head, repaired the front door, and also got the dryer working when I first moved in. I moved here in January and so far I haven’t had any issues with the property team here at Cortland university north. Moving in was a pretty smooth. I did have a few minor issues in the apartment for maintenance and Marquis came to the rescue. After my request was placed, he was there the same day! on-time, quick, and efficient! No complaints!

All of our interactions with Cortland have been positive, but the maintenance team especially, are superb! Recently Markese (I hope that’s spelled right) came by to check out our dryer since it hasn’t been drying effectively, and he managed to diagnose the issue and solve it immediately, all while being extremely polite and professional. I wish I could give him 10/5, please keep him around!

The leasing team was incredibly helpful, kind and responsive in getting myself and my partner transferred to a different unit in the complex on short notice, after living there for almost a year. The maintenance team responds within 24 hours of a request during business hours and communicates well about the work or any delays. The amenities are well kept, pest control and landscaping are performed regularly, and the community feels safe. The apartments themselves are in good condition and very spacious. I'm happy with the rent prices compared to market rate, and I'm very pleased with the staff in the community.

This apartment complex is probably one of the best that I’ve encountered not only from the nice property but also to the amazing staff that they have in the leasing office. I would recommend this apartment to anyone & im happy to have found this property. It’s quiet, clean, and the units are very updated. I’d just like to S/O to Dandra and Haley they both helped me with my leasing process and I was nothing but impressed from start to finish….this had to have been the most non stressful move I’ve ever had thanks to those ladies! I’d give 10 stars if I could!

Cortland University North is an amazing complex to live. The complex takes pride in their grounds, I’ll see the groundsmen working to make sure the community looks clean and beautiful. The amenities are very convenient and are always in great shape. The complex also hosts events such as yoga and holiday events. It’s a great way to meet your neighbors! The staff in the leasing office are also welcoming and strive to resolve any issue or answer any question you have. I am glad to call Cortland my home!

My family and I toured here looking for an 2 bedroom apartment for when my current lease is up and I have to say these apartments are great! Love the modern luxury look and feel of the apartments. Wood floorings and kitchen cabinets, with a balcony that has an amazing view and scenery. Can’t forget about the amazing leasing consultant Kaishown Knox. He answered all of our questions and made what’s normally a long process seem effortless and entertaining. The Harbor At Lake Howell will be having my family and I as upcoming residents.

I had to come change my review because truly I don’t think I’ve ever felt more heard by a business and once I finally decided to just go and talk to the Property Manager directly, she immediately sprung into action and helped us reach a resolution that we were completely pleased with. So I feel confident saying now that you SHOULD move here because when they say they want you to be happy they actually, genuinely mean it. One way or another you will enjoy your stay!

Recently moved due to a job change but I wanted to take the time to share my experience with this community. Honestly, I’m sad to leave! I’ve lived here for 5 years and have loved all of it. The office team has changed a few times but they are always amazing! Any issues are addressed immediately and I never feel like I’m being a bother. The team always listens and works with me to find solutions. The maintenance team has also always been so helpful. My favorite thing about living here is the sense of community, the office does a great job of hosting events that made it possible for me to meet my neighbors and find a great community while living here.

I lived here for 13 months, from the beginning of June 2021 to the end of June 2022. I loved this place, and only left because I was leaving North Carolina. Kind neighbors and a great, responsive staff. My apartment was clean and the kitchen was great, and maintenance came fast if you put in a service request. The front desk staff was always wonderful - all of them were great, but I most frequently dealt with Kaylia, who is extremely nice and reasonable, and good at what she does. Strongly recommend if you need to be living in the University City area.

I’m in my fourth month of living here, and I love it. Everything that is within the complex’s control, they do right. Kaylia was super helpful and speedy with the move-in process, and she’s always been super nice when I’ve needed to visit the office. If you put in a maintenance request, they resolve it very quickly - in my experience, they usually come the next day, or 2 days later sometimes. Emergencies are handled promptly, and the maintenance staff are super nice. I feel bad that I’ve forgotten his name, but one guy in particular has helped me several times, and he’s super sociable. One small thing that’s really nice is that it’s possible to reach the Mallard Creek Greenway from here without ever having to go on the road. You can take the sidewalks down from the complex to N. Tryon, use the crosswalk to get on the sidewalk on E. Mallard Creek, and then enter the Kirk Farm Fields and greenway. Kirk Farm Fields is closed right now, but they’re supposed to open in November. I have lived here since 2016, been through numerous managers/staff. I have been very happy living here. Although not perfect, every apartment complex is going to have maintenance issues, noise issues, dog waste issues. It is part of apartment life. I do try not to say anything about noise unless it is out of hand and management tries to address the dog waste issue but some people are just lazy. Maintenance has always responded quickly to requests and everyone is friendly. They have updated the apartments and are continuing to. New windows need to be installed as heat/air runs high due to older windows but I think they are working on the exteriors now that the interiors are complete. It’s a nice little neighborhood and I have never felt unsafe.

I enjoyed my time at Cortland. I lived there for 13 months. The location isn’t too bad either. The apartments are a little bit older so the floors and ceilings are thinner. You’ll hear your down stairs if they play music on their bluetooth or your upstairs neighbor walk around but you’d get that in a lot of apartments anyway. I NEVER heard my next door neighbors so the walls are thick enough to block sound. The kitchen is renovated so it’s nice and the apartments are spacious with a ton of storage. I only moved out because of work. The staff is amazing! Jordyn is great and always communicates well. And their maintenance team is top notch. The neighborhood is nice and there are always people walking around with their dogs or family. You’re tucked away in trees so beware of the squirrels. I never had issues with my building neighbors, they were kind and courteous. Cortland did a great job at doing their best to exceed expectations!

These apartments are very old and things seem to fall apart more frequently than I would like! When the property owners seem to not care about the grounds or the residents who pay rent. I can depend on the maintenance staff to make the effort and make things right! The past few times Artavis Flowers has come to the rescue of the falling apart building. He is pleasant, professional and effective! When he is unable to fix the problem he makes sure someone else comes to handle the situation. I appreciate having a great maintenance staff who gets the job done. Often times I have felt property owners/management can careless because they done live here! Artavis makes sure he has done his best! Thanks Artavis Flowers & maintenance team for patching what you can when you can!

Cortland North has been the absolute best apartment experience as a renter. Although I recently moved a month ago, I lived at this property almost 3 years. In fact I moved back to this property because of how much I enjoyed living here. In the middle of COVID they had me moving in within a few days after applying stress free. The office staff is AMAZING. especially Jordyn. Everyone has been a pleasure to speak with. The maintenance staff is always friendly and speaks when I would see them outside. I’ve honestly never had a bad experience with any of them. Although the buildings are a bit older, the apartments are completely renovated and the price is accommodating to any budget. I also loved the fact that I was right by 85 and 485 allowing easy access to practically anywhere in Charlotte/concord area. The neighborhood is completely safe and families walk around every day, which in my opinion shows alot about the area. Honestly this place is killing it. I recommend everyone here! Thank you guys so much!

I really appreciate the help from the groundskeeper and repair staff at Cortland. When problems occur especially during this time - it’s not always easy to manage. I appreciate, for example, Artavias going above and beyond when I raised concerns in my apartment. He would notice additional fixes or tasks needed in and around my apartment. And while fixing one job, he would complete the others although I had not reported additional issues. This means more than the task itself. I have lived here at Cortland University North (formerly Hunt Club) for over three years now, and my personal experience has been nothing but great since I moved in. Madison and Jordyn continue to be amazing and helpful from the office, and communication from them is timely and helpful. The amenities, both in-apartment and on-site, from Cortland management are top-notch! Finally, I have to give a shout-out to the maintenance team! Anywhere you live, things are going to break, and this maintenance team is always friendly, quick, and efficient, often getting to you much more quickly than the 48-hour guarantee that Cortland has. Melvin, in particular, has been here since I moved in, and he is always smiling and positive, will not stop until the issue has been resolved, and he has made sure it's fixed correctly. He remembers the residents he has worked with, and is great to talk to while he is working. My experience here has been nothing but positive!

Staff is friendly and always there to help! My door handle broke and I was locked outside on a Sunday. I called the maintenance hotline for help and Melvin was there to save the day within 30 minutes!! I really appreciate him for coming out and being so friendly! Even on the weekend!!

I have been living at Cortland University North and it’s been a wonderful experience. The apartments themselves are just beautiful, spacious and i would recommend anybody making this place their next home. Of course you’re always going to have some wear and tear so you call up the 24hr maintenance. The person that I have worked with on different occasions is Mr. Melvin. He knows his work ! He puts your mind at ease and his personality just makes your know you’re in good hands. Go Mr.Melvin.

While helping my friend move in to her new apartment, I was incredibly impressed by the staff and overall grounds of the complex. Namely, my friend's 2 bedroom apt was super spacious (especially with the 1100$/month cost for the area), and parking was abundant and easily accessible. Finally, the whole check in process was snappy and done with smiles all around, which is NOT a universally shared trait of apartment complex staff. I definitely would recommend the Hunt Club to others, and am keeping it high on my list to suggest to my current roommate next year!

I’ve been a resident here for 3 years going on year 4! From maintenance coming immediately when we have a request to the friendly front office team. Everyone is amazing. We love the new groundskeeper as he does an amazing job with keeping the community look fresh. Thank you for all you do!
