The repair was completed efficiently, and he made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. He was respectful of my home and cleaned up afterward, which I really appreciated. The community is really good, and I love the location. It is walkable distance from light rail, shopping centres, walmart, sams, good restaurant. The leasing consultants and service people are also very helpful. I enjoy my stay here.

I had an amazing experience with Sandra Brown from the leasing office. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable, personable, and detail oriented. There were no surprises or unanswered questions with her. She introduced me to the friendly staff as well. Sandra was such a delight to work with. It's quite evident that she knows her job and takes pride in doing it well. Cortland University City is a hidden gem. The rents are reasonable considering the staff, space, location, and amenities. If anyone is looking to rent here, I'd highly recommend seeing Sandra to see you through from start to finish. Kudos to you Sandra!

BELOW WAS MY EXPERIENCE FROM 2019 to 2021 BUT from 2022 to 2024: we didn’t have a good experience at all. Absolutely AMAZING! Easily 5 Stars.. #1. The entire staff is tremendously kind and the customer service is phenomenal! - Connie, Rona, & Hikmat are the absolute best. They make a GREAT team and their pleasant attitudes are enough to make this the best place that we've ever lived. #2. We really appreciate the maintenance crew because they are always so kind, respectful and considerate: Especially when is comes to our building concerns. #3. We love the facility, our place, the amenities, and the location. #4. We love how they always keep us updated on what's going on with the property and the community. #5. Honestly, I could probably go on and on but I'll just say this:. I would definitely recommend University City by Cortland and I'm so glad that we chose to be a part of this community.

Updating my previous review: This is my second time living here and overall, I’ll give it a 7/10. I don’t have any major problems. I feel like maintenance comes as soon as I put in a request & for the most part, they fix my issue. I wish there would be follow up but I digress. Majority of the staff here is nice & helpful so I don’t have many complaints there. I wish people would be more mindful of their trash blowing to other people’s breezeways/garage areas but maintenance does do a good job at cleaning as far as I see which they shouldn’t have to do extra. I do agree that Sandra is rude like most people have mentioned & I prefer not to deal with her at all. I’ve seen people mentioning car break ins & shootings & that’s actually alarming to me. Maybe because of the side of the complex I live on but I only hear about the breakins from the emails we get sent. So seeing that there was a shooting last week from someone else’s review is crazy. I do think the extra $10 in fees is greedy. I didn’t pay those the fir

Great looking unit on the ground floor. Lauren was really nice and made the process smooth. I moved here a month ago and so far so good, except the ceilings here seem to be quite thin. I have to get up and go sleep on my couch in the living room most nights because I wake up to hearing my upstairs neighbor snoring very clearly above my bedroom despite many efforts to drown it out, which is a real bother. I suggest choosing the top/3rd floor if you mind unsolvable noise issues.

Lauren has been very kind and has personally led me through the entire process from applying to moving in. I really appreciated all of her support. She and the Cortland community have been very welcoming and I am excited to move in. My only upset was in relation to setting up my initial rent and move-in date; my move-in had to be postponed due to the background check not arriving in time, which led to my rent rising. Although I had already signed on a set amount, I understand why these had to be changed.

My other review isn’t showing which I’m assuming it got deleted?? Apartment is nice and everyone in leasing office is very friendly. There have been incidents in the complex which keeps me on guard. Cameras should be installed in parking lots and hallways of buildings. Also, need better street lights because the ones that are out there now are no help. When it’s dark it’s really dark. Cleanliness of buildings should be maintained, when buildings get mopped smells like dirty mop water which is gross! The trash compactor has been looking a mess lately. Dog feces in places it shouldn’t be. Wish people had common courtesy to clean up after their pets.

This apartment was extremely clean and updated. The staff was very professional and very helpful. Living here has been so nice. Anytime I’ve needed to talk to the management office they’ve been available and professional. Jasmine at the office has helped so much. My friends and I have enjoyed the pool the most.

A nice apartment community in the university area of North Charlotte. Convenient to North Charlotte, I-85, and the Uptown area. Very nice amenities including a nice pool area, Clubhouse, and fitness center. A good place to land when coming to Charlotte.

By far the BEST apartments I’ve lived in, it’s the management staff in the front office that makes it awesome, during the pandemic they were very understanding of everyone’s situation and it was awesome they checked in and gave valuable info on resources if needed. Whenever I call the office I always get an answer and anything I have an issue with is addressed real time and I love that. Connie is super helpful

As a whole, the staff always have such upbeat personalities and are extremely responsive. Amenities are nice and kept up well. The maintenance team works fast and does great work! It is a blessing to live in a community where managemnt cares about your living experience and where you constantly see improvements. Lastly, I love the shingdigs that they throw each month! Whether it is a food truck where residents get tickets for meals, or them catering a game night. Cortland has been such a great living experience in quiet, nice neighborhood.

We had applied for appartment on university of Cortland, due limited availability we could not proceed with application. The five stars i have given is not for the appartment because we never lived there. Its for the leasing consultation that we got during the time of application. We were assigned with Connie Murcio and she is exceptional in her job. She helped us through the application and even to cancel out the application when we wanted to close out the application.

Connie is such a professional agent. She was a great help and support for us for our apartment hunting. We applied for the apartment but then had to cancel out due to our personal reasons. I am a college student and let’s just say that University Center by Cortland has been the perfect place for me and my roommates. This place was great enough that we even decided to come back and lease again for this school year. The staff is very helpful especially Connie who made our journey leasing our apartment very easy and helped us through the process. Highly recommend this Apartment complex.

this apartment complex is the very best i have ever been apart of. they work hard to provide a community and make the residents feel welcome. the staff is always so kind and helpful. they give gifts to community members and really strive to make it feel like home. i have had no issues at all while living here and i know if i ever were too the staff would be right on it. they keep residents updated on city emergencies such as power outages and water shortages, which is something my last apartment never did. overall this has been hands down the best living experience i’ve ever had with an apartment. not to mention that the apartments themselves are gorgeous and updated. the gym is always clean and open, and my puppies definitely enjoy the dog park. if you’re looking into a new apartment complex i highly recommended university center by cortland.

This community is lovely, well-maintained, and well localized. The neighbors are very polite. The swimming pool is really nice and big enough to swim freely. The Staff is super helpful – they try to help you in every situation. Connie and Tarek are very kind and professional. In case of any issue with the apartment, usually the problem is solved within 2 days from the request. I’m really glad that I chose this place to live!

I’ve been a resident at university center for 3+ years and I’ve seen management come and go but when it comes to the current management and maintenance I am pleased. Tyrone is super responsive and knowledgeable to all maintenance calls and Tarek the community manager is great as well.

I just moved here less than a week ago. Filled out the move in maintenance sheet. Troy came 2 days later but only because I was busy. He had planned to come the day after I made the request to fix. He was very persistent in making sure it got done and he was very professional. I live alone and had a lot of boxes to get rid of. He took them to the recycle for me and I’m very appreciative. So far 5 stars!

I just moved to Cortland a week ago, I love the property and the amenities here and Hikmat-Al-Chami and Connie Murcio were very helpful through out the leasing process. Had few minor issues with in the apartment which were addressed in a day.

I've been living here for 3yrs these hallways never stayed so clean. You have a good housekeeper I believe she told me her name was Keba please keep her on the team. She does a great job. The building is really looking better.

University Center Cortland has been an excellent place to live as both a full time student and full time employee (employed elsewhere). Though there have been occasional issues that arise inherent to any apartment community, the staff stands out to remedy problems and make this community great. First, Emmett, one of the maintenance supervisors goes above and beyond to provide excellent service. Just yesterday I informed him of some light bulbs needing to be changed. Before I returned home from work, the bulbs were changed and he also changed my air filter since he noticed I needed a new one! This kind of service goes above and beyond, and it is clear Emmett is extremely knowledgeable, hardworking, and holds excellent service to the utmost value. Jennifer Harrington, the property manager, also has shown dedication to resident support and service. The first week she started here, she worked diligently to remedy a serious billing issue incurred on behalf of the water company. She remained in close communication

We've had a great time living here, even though we have stayed for a month as we had to move for some personal reasons, I must say the apartment is very clean and well maintained. The office staffs are all polite and friendly, Hikmat is a very sweet and helpful lady at the office. Overall, we have enjoyed living here at the University Center at Cortland without any issues. Wish we could have stayed here for a little longer.

One of the best! Well maintained community, super clean, decent monthly rent and amazing Pool! Five stars to the people manages this place specially Abby, Ronna, Ismael, and everybody else! We leased one of the 2b2b for less than a year, we even terminated the lease earlier but everything worked out perfect with the help with the management.

I'd just like to start by saying the Leasing Office staff are PHENOMENAL! If you want a great, pleasant experience, just walk into the doors of University Center and you'll be greeted by the MOST attentive leasing partners! Always pleasant, always with a smile! I am so grateful to Ismael who has not once, but twice helped me out when I have been out of town and received notice that packages have been left at my door. He has graciously gone to my apartment and made certain my package was safe, accounted for and that I have received it. Each time providing prompt status updates and always showing a willingness to assist! Abby and Rona are always upbeat, ready to engage and resolve promptly and professionally as well! They're all simply the BEST! Living somewhere where the office is accommodating, knowledgeable, understanding and pleasant is not always easy to come by; however, Cortland has made a great decision in hiring the staff they currently have! I vote for a raise (they didn't prompt me to say that...LOL)

I love living at University Center Apartments! I feel valued as a resident and if I ever I needed anything, it was addressed very quickly. One day, one of the office staff members was driving by and saw me putting a small bag of trash in my trunk and he offered to take it for me! (So sorry that I can't remember his name). No one has ever done that before. I would recommend living here, and I actually have to a few friends! Overall, a great place to live!

Best complex in the University Area by far! Beautiful residences and nice courteous maintenance staff. Aside from the loud highway noise at the back of the community, the rest of the complex is very quiet. It is located right next to a police station and the light rail connecting to Uptown Charlotte. There are 2 malls located within a reasonable distance. Also, there is a great dining and entertainment selection all around the area. It is a great community and quite possibly the best the University Area has to offer. I have lived in this community for 3 years now and it has been a good time.
