I lived here for 6 years so I think I can add some detail. Very convenient location off of 77. Very close to the airport. Never had a package stolen from my front door in my 6 years here. No issues with parking. Maintenance team is amazing and are very quick to respond and super friendly. The landscaping is top notch and looks great especially in the spring and summer. Dog park is great and spacious and has been recently upgraded. Apartment is nice and feels modern. Front desk workers are very accommodating and polite and actually host some fun events. The pool is great and well kept. Negatives would be the bugs and mosquitoes in the summer. There’s a pond nearby and the mosquitoes can annoying. Not sure if it was treated recently as it didn’t seem as bad this past summer. As for the roaches- they are few and far between at least in my experience. Unfortunate- yes, but it’s the south and to be expected. They will pop up and the maintenance team will respond quickly. Keeping your place clean will help and you

Lorretta has been sooo quick to help solve every problem that I’ve had in any way she can. Nancy gave me the tour and was one of the most friendly office staff members I’ve encountered in NC. I love living here at Cortland Seventy-seven. The best apartment complex I've lived at so far. They take pride in the property, management and the staff is very friendly and always there to help. Whenever, I have a maintenance request it always get completed almost immediately, the same day. Another reason I love living here is that they appreciate the residents that live here as well by having activities and social gatherings for us at least once a month, if not, for sure on holidays. We have a very nice pool area with a fitness center, and social room with tea and coffee bar. I just wish we had a computer center that would really be nice but overall, it's a great place to live.

Hands down a great community in south Charlotte area! Close to the interstate and commute into downtown is a breeze. The process of from tour to move in was smooth thanks to Loretta and the leasing team. She was so helpful and patient with all my questions. Maintenance did a fantastic job with my apartment and the maintenance supervisor Ryan help me to understand the smart thermostat and making sure my apartment was to my standards. I’m looking forward to my new home and community!

Updated review as of January 12 Something quite concerning to me is the fact that this gated community already has sent out an email regarding reports of car break-ins. I’ve only been here a week, so receiving that definitely concerns me since the whole point of moving into gated communities is for protection. No proactive preventative measures (such as looking into cameras for the parking lots, an officer patrolling the area, nothing) will be done so everyone just has to hope and pray their car won’t be broken into. The office can’t seem to put any effort towards trying to lessen this safety concern they and management are aware of. I just moved into this complex last week and I can say that this is one of the most friendly and helpful office staff I’ve encountered in NC. Nancy, Loretta, Ryan, John, and Robert have been a HUGE help in getting me situated and getting all my concerns addressed quickly and efficiently. So big shoutout to them. When they say Welcome Home here, they mean it! There are communities in Ballantyne such as The Sagewood formerly known as Plantation Park that make everything such a hassle (take weeks to handle simple requests, rude office staff, leaking ceiling for over a week, etc) but I haven’t had any issues like that here so far. I can’t say much as far as my stay here, but I will make sure I update further into my lease!

This is one of the mostly friendly , welcoming and understanding communities I have lived in special Thanks to Nancy and the community manager Lorretta. I have been living here for almost 2 Years and from Front desk all the way to management and maintenance are all great and Helpful and their response is quick. The residents are really looked after by the management, leasing staff, and the maintenance team. The landscaping is kept clean and beautiful. This is a very classy and friendly place to live in and it is in an excellent location.

My husband and I have lived at Cortland Seventy Seven for about 6 years. Now that we have a daughter, we wanted more space and to move to an area that was closer to where my daughter goes to physical therapy. This means we would be moving out. When applying for a different place to live my renter report from Real Page came back as though I was evicted from the Cortland Seventy Seven in 2018 which was absolutely false otherwise my husband and I couldn't still be living here. This was inaccurate information. I reached out to Lorretta in the office only to get no help. She couldn't find me or my husband and we have been living there for 6 years this is why I am only give 4 out of 5 stars. However, I reached out to Ken Risgbee. Ken was extremally responsive. He has always helped my husband and I whenever we had any questions or concerns. Ken goes above and beyond. He did his due diligence by reaching out to his IT team to write a letter to dispute the false information that was being reported. However, IT was unh

Fantastic place to live! Special Thanks to the Community Manager and residential manager for understanding our situation looking into our issues and coming over with positive solutions. The amenities are unbelievable. The residents are really looked after by the management, leasing staff, and the maintenance team. We looked at several places before moving in and we are thrilled that we chose The Cortland seventy-seven. There are workout classes onsite. There are services brought in at no charge to the residents. The landscaping is kept clean and beautiful. This is a very classy and friendly place to live and it is in an excellent location.

It has a really family friendly atmosphere and is a conducive environment for working professionals. I’m new to the complex, celebrating one month. My experience from day one has been nothing short of wonderful. It began with my leasing agent, Nancy. Nancy was very pleasant, cordial, and professional. She toured several apartment homes with me (1 overlooking the pool and clubhouse) and explained the move-in and maintenance guarantees and leasing process. After praying about it, I selected a unit on the second floor at the back of the complex. However, unfortunately, I have allergies which carpet tends to aggravate. Nancy informed me that although management was replacing old tattered carpets with hardwood-styled vinyl floors, that could not be determined until the current resident vacated the premises. Hopeful that the carpets would be replaced, I moved forward with the leasing process. While I was out of town, Nancy contacted me to inform me that the carpets in the unit I selected were in good condition and not being replaced, however, she did give me an alternative and asked me to think about it. I haven’t moved in yet, but the Cortland Seventy Seven team has been friendly and patient with me throughout this process, down to my busy schedule and some hiccups due to some of my documents being passed to different leasing consultants. I was able to come visit the grounds and everything was clean, well maintained, and quiet. I loved all the green space surrounding the property. The property is also very close to South End, Ballantyne, Uptown, South Park, and Myers Park which is definitely an added bonus. My unit has all of the features I was looking for, like updated flooring, under cabinet lighting, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances for an affordable price. Overall, I’m pleased with my experience and excited to be able to come and pickup my keys soon!

Great apartment complex! From the first day I came to visit, this complex checked off so many boxes. Located in a pretty quiet area of town, not too far from Uptown and other parts of the city. The staff have been awesome since I first moved in with a special thanks to Mr. Ken who has looked out for me and my roommate from the beginning. Maintenance staff is very helpful and quick when it comes to repairs and the lobby and other amenities like the gym and pool area are always clean and welcoming. Highly recommend this complex!

I would like to comment on my experience at Cortland 77 dealing with an incident causing water damage to my apartment. It took about a month, at times was frustrating but Loretta (Property manager) was very calm and patient with me. Especially when I wasn't very calm or patient with her. She always welcomed me into her office to sit down and come to solutions together. That helped tremendously to make the experience much more positive. My apartment was restored, they replaced all the flooring with a much nicer product, as well as some other updates. I was pleased to move back in. Loretta helped me through the process of getting reimbursed for the back rent in the amount I was entitled to. The staff here is extremely friendly, the facilities are very clean and inviting. One of my favorite parts about Cortland 77 is that they don't tow their residents vehicles. This might sound silly but coming from an apartment that does have vehicles towed without the proprietary parking pass, most notably their own residents

My husband and I had such a great experience with Cortland Seventy Seven. From the moment we went on a tour to ultimately signing a lease. Kenn has great customer service and made sure to explain everything to us in great detail. The community amenities are wonderful and our unit is super spacious.

moved in Jun 2022. It was good experience to move here. Office staff was helpful and supportive to make experience smooth. maintenance staff is around the clock to provide support and work on requests. Roaches are problem which are crawling around apartment. Gym facilities are ok. some community events are great to meet neighbors. overall having a good experience here in community.

I had a showing with Ken and he was very professional & knowledgeable. Was able to get me answers on my questions. The apartment looked nice, spacious, good updated appliances, ambience and the community looked clean and in a safe area. I also liked that they host events for the renters that helps bring the neighbors together. Looking forward to making them my home.

Awesome community! Close to the interstate! Maintenance pays close attention to detail of property and cleanliness. They have completed all my request in a reasonable time frame and always so kind. When out on the community they are friendly and make sure my apartment is fine. The office staff are great as well. The listen to my questions and concerns from the tour till now. They are respectful and great with communication. The property manager Loretta was very kind in making sure my home is just what I wanted. Between Loretta and the supervisor Ryan this community with the help from maintenance to the entire staff in the office I will always feel like this is a great choice for a community.

Great place all around. Maintenance is super fast and very friendly. Very quiet at night and it’s pretty clean. When we took the tour my girlfriend had one request, a pantry. The pantry was in the tour apartment but wasn’t in our place. It was a door with a wall behind it. They let us change places but we have to pay more a month. Still not a bad deal and they handled it well. The last problem is the roaches. They’re everywhere. I don’t think it’s their fault but it gets pretty annoying. However, the pros outweigh the cons all in all.

I moved into Seventy Seven (preciously the Pointe) in June 2019 and have been happy ever since. The staff is outstanding and I love the events! Management truly hears any concerns and actively works to improve them. I have no complaints!
