We used to live here in 2022/2023. We moved to WA in 2023 and came back in 2025 and moved back here because of our experience the first time experience here. When we got here the apartment was disgusting. This is a "no smoke community" yet the apartment smelt like an ash tray. On top of that, there was dried up dog poop smeared into the patio floor and walls as well as dried up dog poop in the cracks of the wood on the patio. Additionally, the microwave had not been cleaned. There was cheese all over the plate inside of it. We had to go to the office and let them know and they resolved it within the next two days but still, it should've been clean before we moved in. The oven/stove in these apartments are TERRIBLE. They were bad in 2022 and they are the same bad ones in 2025. Additionally, when we lived here in 2022 we never paid more than $80 for a full month of utilities including valet trash. Utility prices have definitely gone up since we lived here last. I pay less in utilities living in my home now than

I lived in this community for two years and have only had good experiences there. Reinier and Mike are the best service group I've ever seen, and they always have a solution for everything. The pools are incredible and always clean. Yosalyn is also a very nice person and always has an answer for everything. I've lived in more than three different communities, and this has been my best experience so far. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, quiet, and clean place.

I have only had positive experiences at Cortland. I just trasnfered apartments and Josalyn made that transfer seamless. I was moving on a Sunday and ran into Mike, in maintenance, even though it was his day off he asked if I needed anything and made sure my move was going well. I recently went on a tour here. I absolutely love the homes and how they have wood flooring throughout the entire home. They have updated appliances, including a brand, new washer and dryer. I work for a company that requires corporate leasing for my secondment team. I stuck the luck train when I called Scottsdale Mountain. I was able to obtain 2 apartments back in March 2024 and few more as the year went on. We now have a total of 6 units that we are currently leasing. The staff has been amazing starting with Ryan, he has been such a blessing to work with. Always happy when I walk thru those doors as well as the maintenance team and office manager. What ultimately makes this company great and specifically this location, are their employees and primarily their service department. They're responsive and kind and caring, as well as considerate, always going above and beyond. They make time which can be an incredibly daunting task, no matter how many or what the service request might be. I feel like that's a vital piece that holds an organization together. Of course the front desk representatives are the face but the service individuals (maintenance) are the glue. I would highly suggest this community, honestly would. The pricing as well I feel is competitive being in Scottsdale and particularly this location. Cozy and affordable, and within walking distance of everything. Just a lot of incentives when you really take a look at it versus the market in this area.

Very organized and helpful beyond ready to answer any questions we had. He took the time to show us the apartment and in detail guide us through our move in process. After we signed all leasing forms he has still remained readily available in communication and moving process. He solely is a big driver to why we chose Cortland. Cortland Scottsdale Mountain has been a great place to live for the last 4 years. It's conveniently located close to stores, banks, in a beautiful and safe neighborhood of Scottsdale. The management staff are very friendly and helpful and they always make you feel special and welcomed. I recently relocated into a new renovated unit in the complex and it has been awesome. Beautiful wood floors, a walk-in shower and other upgrades has made it the best apartment I've ever lived in. I'm very happy living here and I look forward to many years to come!

Very clean and well maintained community with very responsive and competent office crew, reasonably priced (in my opinion), renovated units with all the modern appliances including washer and dryer, plus set of modern conveniences outside like fitness center, gorgeous pools, jacuzzis etc. Considering all the previous places I had to rent across town this one appears to be a keeper.

I have lived at this complex for just over a year and I cannot say enough great things about it. STAFF: Paige, the community manager, was who I dealt with from the very beginning. She is extremely welcoming and friendly. The approval and move in process was super quick (the unit was vacant so that did help). Others have stepped in since Paige manages other properties as well and each one has been helpful anytime I needed something from the office. Ryan is another friendly face! Maintenance is also extremely quick! Every request I put in, was dealt with and completed within 24 hours. PROPERTY/GROUNDS: quiet and very well kept. They are renovating many of the units and construction does get pretty loud but I personally don’t mind it. They move quick. This is also coming from someone who works from home. COMMUNITY: neighbors keep to themselves but ones I have met are friendly. I also feel very safe! Overall 10/10. I am only moving due to location but I would 1000% recommend this complex to anyone and everyone lo

I moved into this complex about 2 weeks ago. I have had a great experience right from the beginning when i toured this property. Both Paige and Ryan have been really helpful, that’s what motivated me to move here. So far my experience has been great, I am yet to take full advantage of all the amenities in here but I did a tour and they are well maintained. I was initially interested in this property because of its Pueblo Revival style buildings, fireplaces (not in all units), location, and spectacular views of the McDowell Mountains (north and east-facing units). The grounds are nice, too. Upon leasing a unit, I was disappointed several times by the personnel who staffed the front office. Fortunately, staffing changes have resulted in a much better resident experience. Paige, the community manager, deserves special recognition for her kindness and responsiveness. She took over in the midst of a renovation and has navigated what is undoubtedly a difficult time for both staff and residents very well. While the renovated units are a bit too HGTV-like for my taste, it is likely I would have stayed if a unit comparable to the one I vacated had been available.

It’s now the best value in Scottsdale- ideal location, beautiful upgrades from washer/ dryer, ceiling fans, stunning step in showers, beautiful countertops , backsplash and under cabinet lighting in kitchen. Very clean and well appointed gym and pools (2) monthly amenities like food trucks come to complex, a new bark park for dogs. And most of all mgmt and maintenance that solve issues quickly.

The management and maintenance know you by name. They treat everyone with respect. They treat every issue as urgent and resolve it asap. It is very obvious they respect the fact that this is our home and they treat it like their own. The remodeled units are a much needed upgrade that really makes the space feel bigger and more welcoming. The area is literally walking distance to all of the daily necessities like groceries, different coffee shops, brunch, nail salon, Dollar Tree, spirts bar, Moutain Fitness gym, pizza, veterinarian, pharmacy, McDonald's, gas station, bus stop, restaurants, hardware store, antique jewelry store, Montessori school, preschool, park, hiking trails and a car wash. It is also a 7-10 min drive to Walmart, Costco, AJs, more restaurants, Mayo Clinic, Rarget, Shea, the 101 North. You definitely cant beat the location. I love it here.

When first viewing the apartment, I fell in love with the renovation of the units- It looks amazing. The complex itself was clean, and felt safe. As a young woman, feeling safe has been very important to me when finding my next home. I felt very comfortable here. I liked it so much that I came back to view it again. When making the decision to move forward with applying, Ryan was extremely helpful and even let me come in the evening right before closing as I was working all day. The application process was extremely quick and easy. After getting approved, Ryan was very efficient and knowlegable with the next steps. Sadly, I was unable to move here as some personal issues came up unexpectedly, but the staff was very understanding and the process of cancelling the leasing process was also extremely easy. I have absolutely loved living here! Cortland Scottsdale Mountain is the first apartment complex I have lived in and they made my move-in experience a complete breeze. It was literally weight lifted off my shoulders since the day I went to tour the community, since I had been searching all over town for the perfect place to live. As soon as I left, I went home to apply for the exact unit I wanted. From approving my paychecks, starting my lease, and even transferring to a newly renovated unit, everyone who has worked in the leasing office has made my experience very smooth sailing. Personally, I don’t think I could have picked a better place to live.

So far, so amazing! Moved here a month ago and everything has been going smoothly. Paige is fantastic and made me feel very welcome from day 1! I have yet to visit the pool and fitness center but I am sure those are great too. Although, I do like having in unit washer and dryer- technically they are outside in the storage area and sometimes I have to fight a few pesky moths to do my laundry. I am definitely enjoying living here ◡̈

I just moved here in June. I was on board with the Cortland Management vision as explained to me when I rented. Can’t wait to see all the new community features I will enjoy in the near future as a resident here. I have a spacious one bedroom I love it and neighbors are all very friendly. No carpet in my apartment and black matte interior finishes are in line with my style profile. The area is great I can walk to 2 restaurants basically in my community parking lot. Office staff so far has been a welcoming professional caring team I have had nothing but positive interactions with them. I love it here #greatcommunityvibe

The community is very well managed and loved, it was a pleasure walking the site and seeing it so well cared and groomed. The staff was friendly and very helpful answering my questions. The property management team clearly takes pride in their image from their people to their property and this would be a great place to live.

Deciding where to live really comes down to how one feels about the environment, and when it comes to an apartment complex, the staff and community is critical. We were very welcomed to visit the site, and a few existing tenants were open to talking to us about their experience. The community manager and their maintenance team is very caring and timely to addressing outstanding issues, which is great. We all know things will happen, but it's how quickly and thoroughly it's handled that really speaks volume. We can see their team clearly cares for their tenants like family.

I cannot express enough about how much of a breath of fresh air the new office ladies at my complex are. Paige and ester, you guys are amazing. I’ve had a really positive experience here ever since they have come here. I wanted to move out before they came. And now I’m signing the longest lease I can in one of there revamped apartments. I love my apartment complex now. And I couldn’t be happier to stay. Thank you for being amazing at what you do.

I have been a resident of this community for over 10 Years now. Great location - quite community. Since the take over by Cortland Scottsdale Mountain last year they have made great and needed updates to the complex. Staff is great!

Recently toured the property while evaluating it for my daughter who’s moving to Phoenix from Poughkeepsie. Really nice apartments with attractive and well maintained grounds. I was very impressed and Cortland Scottsdale Mountain is definitely at the top of our list!

I live at Cortland desert Ridge and love it here but i was so curious to check this complex and WOW WOW : amazing team and the new designs are really lovely and stylish, especially at night it has a really warm calm feeling with the lighting, the faculties are perfect : if i was ready to move back to Scottsdale this would be the place, as the is nothing like living the Cortland experience. Huge bonus was the price far far less than some “self claimed” 5 star apt complexes - this put Scottsdale Mountain a must see place - i loved it all - thanks

This community is really incredible. It’s so close to all the great restaurants and shopping but quietly tucked away in the hillside to where you don’t hear the hustle and bustle. The staff is super friendly and always is quick to respond. I love this place!

Since we’ve moved in to Cortland Scottsdale Mountain it has been nothing but amazing customer service with the leasing staff. The little issues we’ve had were taken care of promptly and professionally. Jovahnai is SECOND TO NONE compared to some of the other leasing agents at other properties we've toured! She made great conversation and ultimately was one of the main reasons we decided to move here and it was a decision we don't regret! Maintenance team is on point too. Keep up the good work guys!

I have lived here for 3 years now and love it. The staff is always helpful and responsive. They communicate anything happening on the property in a timely manner. The community manager is very passionate with her tenants and possible tenants. She very consistent when it comes to coordinating any maintenance or repairs. It’s always timely and it’s great to have someone to consider the needs of the renter than just take her position as just a paycheck.
