The biggest selling point of this complex is the management and maintenance team. The leasing office staff are incredibly welcoming, professional, and always quick to answer questions. Anytime I have submitted a maintenance request, they have responded and fixed the issue within 24 hours. It is clear that the staff genuinely care about the residents and take excellent care of the property. I LOVE LIVING HERE !!!!!!!

I have lived here for over a year and absolutely love it. The amenities (especially the wine room, pool and fitness center) are always immaculate and well-maintained. Management team is really lovely, concierge and valet team are great, and the community is overall very quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, high-quality place to live!

Former resident offering review after living in the building for 1+ year. Pros: - Excellent location for someone who works at the medical center. Located right next to the above ground metro line, the location is great for someone looking to take the train to/from the hospitals or alternatively downtown. - Well managed building. Ericka and team were responsive, professional, and there was nothing deficient with respect to living in the building. - Maintenance: Service requests easily made through the app/resident portal, handled promptly. Maintenance team is very responsive and professional. - Garage worked well. Never an issue with parking. Do not recommend paying extra for a reserved spot as there is no need. - Valet: good free valet parking. Great for guests and residents if one is too lazy to park themselves. Note, valet shuts down late at night, which is fine normally unless you have a midnight booty call coming over. The valets are really nice, hardworking guys many from Africa. Really appreciated the

We totally loved our three years living here at Cortland Museum District. The recent renovations look great, they’re constantly making thoughtful updates that keep the place feeling fresh. The amenities are always clean and well maintained, the pool has an incredible view of the city, and even the bins in the parking garage seem to be emptied on the hour. The staff is genuinely warm and welcoming, honestly, even the mailman is great. We’ll really miss the team here, and being able to walk to the parks, museums, and restaurants nearby. It was such a rad place to live. Thank you Cortland crew!

I’ve been living at Cortland Museum District for the past seven months, and it has been a great experience. Honestly, the best building I’ve ever lived in. The property is always extremely clean, well maintained, and very safe, making it a quiet and peaceful place to live. Everyone who works here is incredibly polite, kind, and welcoming, and they are always so sweet with my dog. The sense of community is amazing, and the neighbors are great. From the time we walked in we were received with warm smiles, jokes and laughter. That was really what helped shape our decision to move here. Stephanie, Ericka, Maggie and Mgbore were so awesome and accommodating to us even though we stopped by without an appointment at the end of their day, they never made us feel rushed and made our tour so much fun we didn’t want to leave on that very first day! The apartments we viewed were just gorgeous and the cherry on the cake. We can’t wait to call this place home!

I'm happy I chose Cortland for my apartment in Houston. Most importantly, the room is amazing. Quality materials, high ceiling, a great view from the balcony, and an efficient floor plan. The amenities are excellent too. Gym is spacious and smells nice, and the pool is well-maintained. Last but not least, the staff are super friendly. Maggie in particular is kind and always willing to help with anything.

The concierges are very respectful and very professional. Whenever I walk in, they always greet me with a smile and ask how my day is going. That truly means a lot to me. I've lived at Southmore (Cortland Museum District) for roughly a year, and during that time, the management changed to Cortland. I've been impressed with how quickly they fix small issues around my unit. Kenny, in particular, is a spectacular member of the team who is always friendly, professional, and thorough in his work. My dog even loves him! Furthermore, when Cortland took over, the previous management left some issues not initially brought to light (especially building plumbing). The unit manager, Stephanie, ensured this was looked into regardless of holidays, bad weather (we had an actual snow day in Houston this year), and around-the-clock. She followed up and saw the issue through till it was resolved. Maintenance issues are a natural part of living in any apartment or home, but Cortland's timely and professional response to these issues really showcases its character. I'm looking forward to renewing my lease!

The manager Stephanie was very helpful as when l got there the leasing agent was out on a tour and Stephanie the manager decided to give me the tour and l’m sold on moving there soon. My dog and I just moved into The Southmore, and we couldn't be happier with how welcoming and helpful the entire staff has been! Every time I walk into the lobby, Maggie's warm smile makes me feel right at home. Ericka kept me in the loop during the move-in process, making all the paperwork seem so easy and clear. I've lived at The Southmore Apartments for the past two years, and I must say, the recent changes under Cortland's new management have been fantastic! In just the past few weeks, I've already noticed significant improvements. The communication from the team has been excellent, especially thanks to Maggie, who is always helpful and attentive. One of the biggest improvements I've seen is the new system for handling mail and larger packages. It's been much more efficient, and I appreciate these necessary changes. My move-in experience was very fast and convenient, despite me moving in late at night. My apartment was beautiful and everything was maintained well. When I had questions shortly after moving in, a member of the leasing staff was easily contacted and answered my questions effectively. The valet service was also very helpful upon my move in.
