Denise and Hannah are the most helpful people in the world. I am moving to a new city but otherwise would stay here for more than the 3 years. Move in here!

Tony works the front desk and is fantastic and makes living here so comfortable and easy. The balconies are fantastic and give you a slice of peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle. The property management staff is responsive and fixes any issues you might have with anything from lights in the bathroom to stuffed up tub. They help and they make it better. We lived here for 3 years and enjoyed it very much and it was a safe and happy place to live. Also, if you like animals it really is nice to see the dogs in the hallway and they really are friendly. We loved it here. Had to leave because wife and I bought a new place. Enjoy and tell Tony we say hello! :) Update***** we lived here 9 years ago clearly AI has responded to our review and it looks like it’s gone downhill since we left. Trust the recent reviews and not ours!

Updating my previous review—there have been great improvements at Courtland recently. The courtyard, pool, and fitness center upgrades have really enhanced the community, and the staff has been consistently friendly and attentive. Overall, a much better experience.

I’ve been living at Cortland since 2024, and my experience has only gotten better since the new management took over. I really appreciate Cortland and our manager Denise—she’s incredibly responsive and genuinely cares about the residents. (While the previous team was kind, communication wasn’t always as consistent.) One of the biggest reasons I enjoy living here is the location. It’s very close to downtown and the train station, which makes getting around super convenient. The maintenance team has also been excellent—any time we’ve had a request, they’ve handled it quickly and professionally. I did see a cockroach once, but they came the very next day to take care of it, and I haven’t seen any since. Honestly, in the U.S., it’s pretty hard to find an apartment where you never encounter something like that at least once 😂—of course it’s not a fun experience, but they handled it well. The only reason the Cortland stood out to us was because of Denise. She is so lovely and personable. She was so thorough and worked with us about what we liked and made the best choices for what was in our budget. We felt so heard and seen, thank you Denise!

I’ve lived at Cortland Mount Vernon for over 3 years and I highly recommend it. The front facing units come with great natural light, and the soundproofing between floors is excellent. The management team is incredibly responsive and any maintenance request I've submitted have been resolved within 24 hours. If you are looking for an apartment that has a great location with luxury amenities... This is it!!

Yale West has truly become my home away from home. What really sets Yale West apart is the exceptional staff. The front desk team and property management are incredibly kind, helpful, and professional, always going above and beyond to ensure residents' needs are met promptly. The maintenance staff is particularly responsive, addressing any issues quickly and efficiently. The location is surprisingly convenient, within walking distance to multiple metro stations, shops, restaurants, and popular DC hotspots. This accessibility makes it easy to enjoy everything the city has to offer while still having a peaceful sanctuary to return to. What I appreciate most is the sense of community fostered through frequent resident events that make it easy to meet neighbors and build friendships. From the moment I moved in and found thoughtful essentials already in my apartment, I knew this was a special place.

Love love love Yale West! I have seen so many great changes the past few months and I am happy to be a resident! Please don’t believe everything you read…be your own judge for Yale. We are a true community here! These were my favorite events and I met so many neighbors! Being from Ohio, this is what I needed to feel at “home”. Thanks YW team 👏🏼
