Like any apartment complex, issues come up but the Cortland has been incredibly responsive to resolving issues. The location is second to none (above a Publix, hello!), neighbors are kind and friendly, and when issues do come up - I have not had the same experience of other reviewers at all. Maintenance and staff have gone above and beyond to address anything I've brought up or seen, which is way better than what I have experienced at other apartment complexes tbh.

So I recently toured Glenwood South and had a great experience! The leasing team was super welcoming and friendly! Everyone I passed said hello, even the maintenance team while I was on tour, which really stood out to me. The building itself was beautiful, and I absolutely loved the interior design and overall vibe of the space. I also had a few residents stop to chat with me, and everyone was genuinely nice and approachable, which made the place feel very homey. I’m not planning to move until the summer, but this is definitely at the top of my list and I’ll 100% be keeping Glenwood South in mind when the time comes. <3

Kj although one of the newest employees to my understanding was very knowledgeable, friendly and inviting and the other staff that were present seemed to be just as pleasant. Since I’ve been living here a year and 2 months I never had a problem with maintenance even when they switched over to Cortland. I can say that James the maintenance guy is on point every time there’s a work order put in. He’s quick fast and if there’s other issue’s he’s on top of it. I can’t complain about maintenance He’s on top of his game.🤗

I recently toured this apartment complex and was genuinely impressed. Aziya was awesome, very kind and answered all the questions I had about Glenwood South. The property is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you arrive. The amenities stand out—especially the two fully equipped, fully functioning gyms, which make it easy to fit a workout into any schedule. The overall layout, attention to detail, and modern features give the place a very comfortable and upscale feel. Definitely one of the nicest communities I’ve visited, and worth considering for anyone looking for a new home.

Cortland is the bomb!!! I live at the Glenwood south location and I’m just gonna rattle off all the positive perks of living here for me and in general why it’s such a great spot. -The apartments are impeccable, easy to clean, super comfortable and quiet even though it’s in the heart of the city, perfectly spacious (I downsized from a townhome so I could live in a better location and it’s everything I could’ve asked for). - I viewed soooo many apartments before landing here and somehow this building is much more affordable than literally every other place and at the same time it’s much nicer, so make that make sense. - The team/staff that helped me start the process of trying to move in helped me fight the whole way to get into an appartment here because everyone knows their hurdles and hoops you have to jump through, paper work, and all sorts of stuff to gather or set up. I enjoyed attending a fantastic event—Havana Nights—at this stellar property. From the food, dancing, and decorations, this event was top-tier, fitting the ambience of such a beautiful property. The staff, particularly the Manager, was attentive and gracious, attending to the needs of all of the guests and residents. This is the type of property I would downsize and retire to in a hot minute.

Ken Alvarez showed up promptly to effect a repair on my A/C unit on a Sunday. Between the fast response from Emergency Services and Ken’s quick attention and resolution, my unit was kept in great condition and the issue was abated faster than in any complex I’ve ever lived in. Peace of mind is really important when you’re living in a managed complex and general staffing enjoying their weekend (as they should). Ken and the emergency services team made everything right with lighting speed.

I have been at Cortland for about six weeks now and I absolutely love it so far! Aziya from the leasing team made the entire process so easy, especially since I was moving from out of state. The staff is so friendly and such a treat to be around. And they handle everything very quickly and efficiently. The amenities at this apartment are great - I really like the gym & the pool. The drinks at the coffee station are still not my favorite, and the mailroom needs some extra TLC in terms of organizing the packages or finding them easily. But overall 10/10, I’m so happy with my choice and wouldn’t have wanted to live anywhere else! Plus the Publix being an elevator ride away is unbeatable! :)

I’ve lived her for a year and a half. Recently we were bought by Cortland, and while I was initially skeptical, Cortland has proven to be a far superior management company in every way. The leasing team and management are incredibly friendly and helpful. The maintenance team (shoutout Dylan and Ken) are so friendly, professional and fast. Apartments can suck, but this place is a rare gem. I truly love living here.

Has been a good experience living at Cortland. Anytime we need any help with anything like today when a loose kitchen faucet resulted in some leaking. We used the Cortland app to report the issue. Shortly after Ken Alvarez & Tarrance Williams showed up & had it fixed up in less than 15 minutes. They also quickly fixed a broken door stop we had & were extremely friendly. The parking structure was also getting a bit grimy & Cortland announced that the entire thing would be power washed. They already completed some floors and it really made a big difference, much cleaner, great work!

I’ve really enjoyed living at Cortland on Glenwood south in downtown Raleigh. The location is unbeatable—close to restaurants, shops, and everything the city has to offer. The amenities are solid, and the staff has been responsive and professional whenever I’ve needed anything. One thing that stands out is the effort the team puts into maintaining the property, especially with daily cleaning staff in the common areas. However, I’d love to see that extra step taken to elevate the cleanliness—particularly in areas like the grill station ( light bulbs are you, spider webs etc, it's the small details for me personally) and the pet relief station. These spaces sometimes have an off smell or don’t feel as fresh as you’d expect, especially with regular cleanings in place. A bit more attention to detail there could really make the place feel more polished—like a boutique hotel vibe. Overall, it’s been a great experience, and with a few small improvements, this place could easily be a five-star community.

Love being a part of this community. The leasing agents are extremely helpful and really make sure that your needs are met. They go above and beyond organizing functions for residents. The building itself cannot be compared to other recently built apartment buildings. It is so solid and quiet. It’s very different than other communities that I looked at . I have lived here for about four months and loving it. There is a real sense of community. The leasing staff is very friendly, they make a point of getting to know you, and put on some amazing resident activities. Also, the amenities are tops in the area. It’s the little things that put this place above all else. Like at the holidays where they partnered with a local flower shop to make it even easier to have a Christmas tree in the apartment.
