My wife and I relocated to the DC area this summer, and Kenneth made a long-distance move far easier than it had any right to be. He walked us through multiple video tours so we could choose an apartment without being there in person. When there were mistakes on the sales side, he emailed the right people on our behalf and got them sorted out. What was a hectic and stressful move that had to happen in a hurry, his help made possible. What really stands out is that his help didn't stop once we signed the lease. We've been here two months, and he's still the person we know we can count on whenever an issue comes up. Just last week he helped us get a storage unit after none had been available for months. We love the apartment and the location, and especially how dog-friendly the community is. We've met so many great fellow dog owners here. I lived here for a short time and really enjoyed my apartment complex. I always bumped into one of the maintenance workers,Rosa, in the morning and she is so kind and helpful with any questions/concerns I have about the complex. I've been living at Courtland for three months now, and I absolutely love it! For many years, I've been a huge fan of the Greenbelt, and now I get to enjoy the view every time I look out my windows. Having it just steps away is amazing! Kiara, Kenny, and Gloria are superstars. I truly appreciate how prompt, responsive, and helpful they are. HONEST REVIEW (from a currently disgruntled tenant) : - The front office is excellent (except for a random dude that works some Saturdays-not Cameron, he's great-that makes empty promises and never follows up) - The insides of the buildings almost always smell like dog piss - The apartment complex does NOT vet animals or screen them in any way and there are multiple aggressive/not well controlled dogs on the premises. - The pool and jacuzzi area is awesome except not always well kept with tons of bugs often floating in the ill-cleaned waters. - The elevator is broken 60-75% of the time, so living on the 3rd or 4th floor is a pain. - Parking is great and you can almost always find a spot. If you can't street parking is nearby. - They throw a lot of events and bring in food trucks which is a nice touch. - My wifi hasn't been working in over a month due to a coax that the apartment claimed wasn't their responsibility but after many attempts for clarification, they found out it was. That really sucks and still do

This is going to be a long review, but worth reading. First, I want to say that moving is hard. Moving to a completely new place comes with a lot of challenges, bumps, and unexpected situations. In my case, there were definitely moments when I felt overwhelmed and didn’t know how everything was going to work out. But in the end, Cortland made what felt like an impossible move possible. This was my first experience with Cortland. Before moving in, I saw the mixed reviews and understood that every apartment community will have its issues. I’m someone who is a problem solver. What stood out to me about Cortland was teamwork. From leasing to management and everyone involved behind the scenes, people worked with me, accommodated me, listened to me, and helped me through a very difficult transition. I honestly don’t believe my move would have been possible without the Cortland team. Onsite property management is outstanding, caring and kind. Maintenance is spot on. Like every community living there are some issues, but for the most part they're minor. I've resided at Cortland Highcroft for four years and they always make me feel at home.

I had the most exceptional experience meeting Dessi and looking at the apartment complex. Everything was amazing, but the best was the service Dessi gave us as we walked and all the way to the end. I visited one of They’re Competitors, 30 minutes after meeting with her and the experience was horrendous. Nowhere near the excellent service that Desi provided. By far the best apartment complex that I have ever lived in that I will be extremely reluctant to leave. The front office people are all amazing (especially Austin) and proactive/helpful. The property is always super clean (and safe), and everything is well-maintained. This complex also has the best maintenance team of anywhere I've lived. They are all extremely kind, understanding, and efficient. I am especially fond of Gaspar, who treats all of us like we're an extension of his family. He has dropped everything to come help me during late night maintenance emergencies, and I couldn't be more grateful for him. I love it here!

I signed a one year lease but had to move out early due to relocation, the whole leasing team including Macey, Rama is really friendly and very helpful. Overall, I had a great time living in the property, which is newly renovated and is wonderfully located in the heart of pentagon city. Macey is a great manager and she really takes care of all the residents and very easy to work with. If I ever come back to DC, I will live here again.

I’ve been living here for about 9 months now, and overall, I’ve had a very good experience. It’s a great community with excellent amenities, including a swimming pool, gym, and Amazon lockers. The management team communicates well about community events, maintenance issues, reminders, and important alerts. The maintenance service is excellent and, most importantly, very prompt. My apartment’s AC unit broke down in the middle of a Texas summer, on a weekend. Since they needed to order a replacement part, the repair couldn’t be completed until Monday. However, instead of simply asking me to wait, they provided a temporary portable AC unit and even came out to install it. Things can break in any apartment, but I really appreciate how they handled the situation and provided a practical temporary solution instead of excuses.

This is a very nice building and is in a good location. But the staff is what really makes it great! Everyone in the office is very kind and responsive to whatever your needs may be. I worked a lot with Rama when I first moved in. She was so helpful on one of the most stressful days of my life. She answered every question before I even thought to ask it. Also, she takes the time to speak/greet me every time I see her, which is always appreciated! Malik in the office is also very helpful and helped address an issue quickly and without any delay!

Parking can be tricky if you come back late at night, but it's never been to the point where I had to park so far away that I didn't feel safe. I plan on living here until I buy a house one day. The maintenance team has been excellent, reliable, and very responsive anytime I’ve needed assistance. They work quickly, are professional, and always make sure the job is completed correctly. The office team has also been amazing. Logan and Jeff both stand out for being helpful, friendly, and attentive to residents. Everyone truly works together to create a positive living experience, and I really appreciate all the effort and care that goes into this community.

We stayed here for about a year and honestly had a pretty good time. The building has good security and package management is good with good number of Amazon lockers available. The only recurring issue was the bathroom sinks and tub kept clogging every now and then. But whenever we put in a maintenance request, they were on it pretty quickly. Overall, no major complaints!

I lived in this apartment during the summer and enjoyed it a lot. The apartment and rooms are great. The pool and gym are convenient. Location is great. Right off major highways, right next to the galleria mall. Easy access to Addison beltline and legacy west. There’s also a bus stop directly in front of the complex that can take you to uptown and downtown Dallas. The only issue at the time was that some of the doors were unlocked and easily accessible to the public which decreases the level of security in the complex.

We’ve toured the Cortland community a few times while looking for a new home and had an excellent experience working with Tyler Cantrell. He is such a nice guy—very professional, patient, and easy to talk to—and he made each visit comfortable and relaxed. Tyler took the time to walk us through different floor plans, answer all of our questions, and explain everything clearly without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. Great location and very nice team! This is my second time living at this apartment because moved out of the country in 2023. I live in building 1, and they have construction going on, I was so worried because I work from home 3 days out of the week and it's not as bad as I expected. I always see the cleaning lady and that's a great thing because you can tell the hallways get cleaned regularly.

This has been an amazing apartment complex since the moment I’ve arrived. When I moved in last year I was looking for a place to call home closer to my job. I toured countless apartments and was always left with uncertainty’s and refused to settle for something I may not want or enjoy. After doing two tours here I was already sold after my first. From move in to renewing my lease this year this apartment has been nothing short but amazing and I don’t plan on moving out anytime soon. The pool is always nice and clean and the neighbors are always friendly whenever they have get togethers. They are very understanding when it comes to paying rent which has always been something i appreciated. The community is clean and well kept and the love and care the team takes with cleaning daily shows as they are always sweeping mopping and cleaning the hallways and elevators to ensure us residents have a clean walkway and environment to be surrounded by! Update: I’ve been with Cortland at two different communities and both communities have been great. Galleria has the best maintenance staff, they are very friendly and prompt. The facilities including the gym and the pool are top notch. I would recommend Cortland to anyone looking for a quality apartment community. They even have creative communtity events which allow you to meet your neighbors. It’s a real community. Two of my closest friends are my neighbors! Thank you so much Julia for you happily helping me out on a Friday evening! You convinced me to make a quick decision about a major move. As a medical provider I really appreciate the convenience of this location to my office and I am very excited to be transferring to this community. I have been a Cortland resident for 2 years (Fossil Creek) and the consistency of customer service and amenities are unparalleled.

I'll leave this true story and I'll let you decide how good they are: I live in the 3rd floor and the trees are in line with my bedroom window. On windy days, the branches slam on my window and it can get quite loud. I brought it up to management as a minor recommendation. After a couple of weeks later, they sent a team to chop off the branches that were on the side of the building. They were able to fix that issue. Imagine the kind of care they put into the building and taking care of the residents. Great job Cortland team!!!

Just renewed my lease today after being here for 3 years and I have to say that it took longer than expected when I came to the leasing office. I had a great conversation with the staff and they were super friendly and gave me a great deal on my renewal. I had a great experience living in this community. In the 13 months I stayed here, I had virtually no issues. My apartment was on the fourth floor. Moving in was easy because they have a decent sized elevator and there was never any issues with it. I always had a peaceful living experience, never had any noise issues. The apartment I got was very clean and free of pest issues. They have great amenities like gym, swimming pool, business center, free coffee at the leasing office, courtyard, etc. The vallet trash pickup comes every weekday which is super convenient. Maintenance has always arrived on time and taken care of everything. I also like that they hold regular celebrations for special occasions and holidays. They also have free weekly yoga and kickboxing classes. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. I'm leaving only because I want lower rent. I have lived here for a year and love it! Maintenance comes within 24 hours, broken elevators have been fixed quickly and random messes in the hallway have been cleaned up quickly. I also feel very safe here, even walking alone at night. Only negative I have experienced here is doors being broken for a while but it didn’t concern me since the area is so safe.

AirBNB review: It was a lovely 5 day stay here. The apartments were spacious enough for the 4 of us, the pool was pretty. Only 4 stars instead of 5 because the hallways stink so bad. Thankfully it doesn’t linger into the apartment rooms themselves.

I have been a resident of Cortland for almost a year in one of its communities. Still, looking to relocate closer to where I could facilitate access to the most central areas where I operate, I found this community, Cortland Galleria. Without basically having time to do so many moving procedures, I was assisted by a highly professional, friendly, and extremely diligent staff who, knowing how quickly I needed to move, were at the top of their capabilities and even making space to assist me, my first tour of the property was given to me by Walter Gonzalez who he proudly took me to all the common areas where I could appreciate the order, cleanliness and everything that has to do with the maintenance of a complex of that magnitude. In the office, I was assisted by Kai Uayan, who without wasting time processed everything I needed, took me to several units, and remained in constant contact throughout the process. From the beginning to the end , I was met with nothing but professionalism and genuine kindness from the ladies in the office. Every step in the process was with ease and they are very quick to respond to emails/communication which is huge for me. The property meets and exceeds my expectations by far.
