Cortland is renovating all apartments at the termination of existing leases. While this is a bit of an inconvenience, I understand the need. Samantha in the leasing office has been fabulous. She has kept me fully informed of the process, timing, etc. She always greets me by name, has a smile on her face, and is doing all she can to make our move to another, fully renovated apartment as painless as possible for us. Everything about Cortland has been amazing. My leasing office agent, Jonah was so friendly and helpful. I had some concerns regarding the application process and he patiently helped work through them until approval, communication has been amazing! I’m obsessed with the unit and location. There were a couple things in the unit the I sent in a maintenance request for and Christian has been wonderful. Super friendly and attentive. I also have a little one who kept getting in the way and Christian even took some time to play around with him and assure he wasn’t in the way. We’re coming from a Grey Star community where we unfortunately had to terminate our lease 5 months in- from my understanding Cortland took over our building from Greystar and I’m so thankful they did because the overall experience has been great. Looking forward to our 15m lease I would also like to add Adrian with the maintenance team was also amazing super friendly from the day we moved in. Perfect location. Easy parking. Spacious units. I would give five stars except for the fact that my apartment wasn’t entirely ready upon move-in and there were some weird extras that were added to my lease before I looked it over. Maintenance is friendly, respectful, and efficient. Mark and Julio, especially, came through immediately when my heater died, and fixed it very quickly. They were great. Christian, too, has swiftly helped take care of some aging window problems, and he ordered what few items he needed to address the issues he wasn’t able to immediately.

I remember when this area was call Village Italia. The staff on my visit was very knowledgeable. The only thing that exceeded thier knowledge was thier friendliness. If they didn't know the answer to a question they didn't just spit out some junk . They found somebody that did know. You don't know how refreshing that is. I wondered who instilled this professionalism. Then I met your manager Stephanie and I knew. She is the glue that holds everything together. She explained to me whats happened, whats happening and whats going to happen. Keeping all the buildings and projects on course is no small feat. This five stars is not for Cortland Belmar itself, but for the maintenance handy man, Christian. He stopped by to fix our ice machine problem after almost 4 months of not having one with a request in. He was so sweet and efficient. He was so helpful and explained everything to us on why it was taking so long so we weren’t left in the dark like we have been in the past. He also noticed that the previous guy replaced our freezer lightbulb with a normal and/or oven lightbulb so it was burning plastic in our freezer. I am so glad he noticed and he came back right away to replace it with a proper freezer lightbulb. Christian is great and we hope he is our guy that stops by every time.

I have been needing some repairs for quite awhile and this morning I was in the office and requested some work. Within 30 minutes or so, Adrian came to my apt and fixed everything in no time. Adrian was very kind and respectful! It is great having someone who knows how to get the job done!

There were a few frustrating delays with repairs and maintenance when I first moved in, mainly due to the property being short-staffed. But things turned around when Billy came on as the new Service Manager. He personally introduced himself and even delivered a bottle of wine to apologize for the earlier mishaps. It showed a genuine effort to make things right, and get things done. Since then, communication and follow through have been noticeably better. Billy’s presence and passion has made a huge difference.

Excellent apartment condition, spacious and very well connected to shopping and RTD. The staff and very resourceful and friendly. There is a well-maintained public park across the street. Shopping malls are just a 5-minute walk and so is RTD bus stop.

As others have pointed out about submitting recent maintenance issues, Cortland brought up the A team of Mark and Julio from Tucson to get some stuff DONE!!!! I got a call this afternoon that they would be looking at our Microwave that wasn't working and when I got home 20 mins later they were just done finishing up the installation of a brand new Microwave! Talk about fast service!!!! Cortland Belmar needs to see if these two are looking to relocate to the area. After having experienced the fast and friendly service these two provide, I'm sure some of the other neighbors and I can pitch in a little something for the move, haha!

With the recent cold snap, we finally had to turn on our furnace for the first time this season. Alas, the furnace was running, but no hot air was coming out. We submitted a maintenance request Monday morning. Monday afternoon, Mark and Julio showed up to work on the problem. They were from Tucson, and up helping with backlog of maintenance items. It took them only 15 minutes, and the furnace was again working and blowing hot air. We appreciate that Cortland responded so quickly to our request, and especially appreciate Mark and Julio coming up from Tucson to help out. They were both very friendly, professional and efficient.

We were having issues with our dryer since we moved in a few months ago. We had it looked at once and there was no major change/our clothes still were not drying. Cortland had two maintenance men, Adan and Jonathan, who came out for the week from Arizona to help out with maintenance requests, come and check our dryer out. They were AMAZING! Found the problem quickly and solved it. Dryer works like new! So grateful for them! Thank you Adan and Jonathan!!!

Samantha is awesome. She is definitely the best assistant manager I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and needs to be made property manager as soon as possible. When I went through a life changing situation, she was understanding and showed empathy. That in itself is rare nowadays. I will be referring all of my friends and family to be moving into Cortland Belmar. My plan is to continue living here, one reason is because of the nice apartments and last but not least, the other reason is Samantha. You guys are blessed to have such a great worker!!

First and Foremost, Alana Stevenson needs a raise ASAP, she gave me and my girlfriend a wonderful tour, showed us everything we wanted to see, broke down the payments and fees clearly, and joked around with us and made it a fun experience. As someone who works in sales this is the experience I look for when shopping and she delivered to the highest of my expectations! If you want to tour or visit or have questions, she is the one you should ask for!!! As far as the actual apartments… still amazing! They were clean and well kept, we had toured the Ashford Belmar apartments and it was absolutely pitiful, disgusting and poorly maintained, however, the Cortland Belmar apartments were extremely well kept, had great floorplans, good amenities, everything was super clean as well and smelled great which is a big deal! Absolutely deserved this review!

I have been living in the building that Cortland had recently purchased for years . Skylar , Samantha and Jonah have all been really helpful in making my transition to my new apartment really seamless. I submitted a maintenance request in the evening/after hours for having no hot water. I received a call first thing the next day from the maintenance tech asking if it was okay to come look at it. I work from home so I always appreciate having a call first so I can arrange my schedule accordingly. The two techs that came by were very pleasant to work with and resolved my issue quickly! After needing to get out of my previous living situation ASAP, Alex and the Cortland Belmar team were able to quickly help me locate a unit, addressed any issues I had and made sure to check up on me as I got everything sorted from my previous apartment. After moving in, the location is amazing (walking distance to grocery stores, food, and shopping) and area is great (lots of dogs around, neighbors are friendly). Even when I’ve needed to call maintenance, I’m able to get a prompt response and assistance! Very happy so far Edit: After a year, I’m still loving it here! The area is great, the management team has been supportive when I’ve had issues with mall security & the maintenance teams are always willing to help!

I have not rented for more than a decade. I was afraid of the process however, Alex de la Riva at the Belmar facility, not only made me feel very comfortable with the process but he made it look like a effortless process. I am fortunate to have come to this place, Alex is smart, kind, friendly, profesional and always accessible. The apartment I live in is perfect for me, two rooms, a nice kitchen, a cute living room and a refreshing balcony. My neighbors are quite, I never see them… I have not seen them at all… which is ok. This particular facility is located in the midst of all, supermarkets are next to us, my gyms are at walking distance… Denver is at 45 minutes biking!!!! Yes, I can bike to work… Golden and the mountains are within 15 mins. The place is great but the costumer service is out of bound! I foresee myself living here for a while! Thank you Alex for being a fair representation of what this place offers; only great things!

We chose Cortland Belmar because of the management's reputation for customer service, and we've not been disappointed. Communication is outstanding and Alex and Hayden made our move-in day a breeze. The maintenance team acts quickly and is very nice. So far a great experience. Application, signing, and move in were super easy. On move in day, Alex walked me around the property and my unit to make sure everything was right. Great change from other places I’ve lived where they hand you the keys and you never speak again. There was a minor maintenance issue found during the walk though and it was promptly fixed. I also had a package delivered to the leasing office that I wouldn’t be home in time to get before the long weekend, and Hayden placed it in my unit so it was waiting when I got home. Overall great people, and well maintained property.

My daughter and I toured Cortland with Alex and honestly could not have been more pleased. We felt like he truly got to know us and our needs and treated us like we were the only people looking to make the move to Cortland Belmar. We ultimately had to choose a place closer to her school, but we were deeply saddened to have to make that choice. Cortland has a small-town feel in the middle of a big city where it’s easy to feel like a number. Alex was a huge part of that!

Very smooth process from setting up the initial showing, to the leasing, to move-in. Alexander was very helpful throughout and is friendly and responsive. The property is well managed: clean and maintained, and the unit is perfect for our needs. There's also plenty of parking available and the couple minor maintenance issues we had were quickly resolved.

The location of the apartments is the best you're going to get in Lakewood with downtown and park access both being extremely walkable. Facilities are generally nice, although I'm not sure if the stairwells to the apartments are cleaned regulalry.

After needing to get out of my previous living situation ASAP, Alex and the Cortland Belmar team were able to quickly help me locate a unit, addressed any issues I had and made sure to check up on me as I got everything sorted from my previous apartment. After moving in, the location is amazing (walking distance to grocery stores, food, and shopping) and area is great (lots of dogs around, neighbors are friendly). Even when I’ve needed to call maintenance, I’m able to get a prompt response and assistance! Very happy so far

We had the most positive experience touring apartments earlier this year and a lightning fast approval process (we were anxious to leave our previous place). Leasing Consultant / Interim Community Manager, Alex De La Riva, listened to our preferences, budget, etc. to make sure we were satisfied & comfortable - very professional and personable. People in the neighborhood yelled "you're going to love it!" when they saw Alex giving us a tour and everyone in our building, dogs included, welcomed us to the neighborhood while moving in on our first day - great community environment + everything we need is within walking distance. Highly recommended while some of their prices are relatively lower than usual! Maintenance is spectacular, fast, and friendly - when one man was done with a job- they offered to take our trash down for us. So far, my experience at Belmar has been great! I moved from out of state and therefore had to get a virtual tour of the area, and Alexander was more than willing to help! He was very friendly and answered all of my anxious questions, and he made it super easy to get my key and move in after a two day drive. All of the small maintenance issues I had during move-in were taken care of in a fairly timely manner (key issues kept them from coming in, but once that was fixed everything was great!). and any other issues I've had have been handled exceptionally.

Amazing place to live. Places around are expensive these days. I found the perfect spot in the perfect location for the same price I was paying at an apt complex that wasn't anywhere near this nice. They are VERY understanding, and they actually will reply to concerns and very promptly. Maintenance is friendly, they are always on it! If they can't get something done, like ordering a part, they will keep you informed every step of the way. And they work with your schedule. Management is superb, as I said they are extremely understanding of our needs and how we want to live. It's like living in a Uber Uber small city. Love it!!!

I think it is a wonderful place to live, very quiet, the office and maintenance staffs are excellent in services and dealing with residents

Alexander De La Riva has been so helpful during my move-in process. With my move out date in my current apartment being so close to the holidays I thought that it'd be a very stressful process moving into a new place but he has made it so smooth and easy. I just moved into Cortland Belmar about a month ago. Alex has been a HUGE help since then. He caught a package that was delivered to the wrong address and helped me carry it upstairs to the 3rd floor! He always asks if there’s anything I need help with or questions answered !

I love love where I live! Right in Belmar, it’s such a great location. So close to so much and close to 6th Avenue to get where I need to go a lot easier. Marisa at the office is very friendly and always helpful whenever I need!

Alexander was the person who attended us from the beginning, he gave us the tour in cortland He was very attentive and always answering all our questions. He helped us with the whole process of moving to our new apartment, he was always very friendly, attentive and respectful and it was very helpful that he was part of this whole process. In the dictionary under the words awesome, helpful, friendly, caring and absolutely amazing should be a picture of Alexander! I moved from another state and had to get an apartment without physically being able to tour any. I had originally tried another apartment community and that was a disaster, so when I tried Cortland Belmar I was skeptical. The first person I spoke with was Adrian and he was great! He answered my questions and set me up with a virtual tour appointment. That's when I met Alexander. He probably walked over a mile while showing me around the entire neighborhood. He showed me two different versions of the apartment I was trying to rent and gave me all kinds of information about the area. It was amazing! He sent me all the paperwork I needed to get in and he continued to answer every question I had, always within a day or less. Just recently, he followed up with me again about my move in date, keys, etc. I have to say that I haven't seen my apartment yet, but I'm hoping it's as great as my e

We are SO happy with our new home! The building is in excellent conditions (despite the renovations being performed right now), and you can't beat the location! Everything you need is at walking distance (Target, WholeFoods, BestBuy, several restaurants and cafes.. ohh and some gyms and chiropractors too!) Cortland Belmar has multiple options for you! From a street level home to a 4th floor apartment with a great view! Ask for my man Alex de la Riva to guide you and help you find the home that perfectly fits your dreams!

From the tour prior to leasing to actual move in day our process has been very smooth. Alexander helped us with the process and he was so nice and helpful. Any questions we asked he answered and during our orientation tour he made sure to give us as much information as possible. He really made the orientation tour a great experience. Since we’ve moved it, he’s been nothing but helpful and we are so happy to be leasing here.

I have contacted the office quite a bit over the last two months, and he always responds quickly, answers my questions, and is very helpful and friendly. Great experience with the Cortland Belmar and Alexander De La Riva! I was looking for housing for a mother and her two kids who have gone through a tough time. The family fell in love with this place. It has been a long time since I have gone through the rental process, and I had a ton of questions. Alex was quick to answer them all and we completed the steps together to move this family into this complex. It's been two weeks since the move, but I will never forget the expression on the mother's face on move in day. She was so excited to have a new place to finally call home (and a coat closet!). I moved in a month ago and I have to say I love this place! The staff was so attentive on my move in day that they really helped me from a stressful day to making sure it went so smooth for me! I really like how it feels more like a community then a regular apartment. I have never really had a good move in experience until now. I'm definitely going to be referring my friend when she moves from out of state!

I am visually impaired and chose Cortland Belmar as my first apartment and living space on my own. The Belmar "feel and vibe" as well as feeling like I am in a safe and secure environment is wonderful. The staff as a whole have been kind and willing to assist in my settling and learning the area. I have had the pleasure of working specifically with Alexander De La Riva l who has followed up and checked in to see if I needed anything since my move in, as well as other staff members offering assistance, showing and demonstrating how Cortland cares about their residents. I would recommend Cortland Belmar to anyone for the location, staff, and overall good experience I have had since being here.

Since moving in Feb of this year, we've had no complaints at all. We love the fantastic Resident event. The management staff sure knows how to Throw a party, Especially the one that happened yesterday!

They handled our service request quickly and at a reasonable time the only reason why I didn't give this a 5 star is because this is at least the 4-5th time we've had this same problem of running out of water and every time they say that if it happens again they will order a new piece but again it hasn't happened and this is the 4-5th time happening and us calling to complain about it.

Great experience with maintenance technician he responded quickly and fixed a water hose on toilet and asked if there was anything else. We had twice asked our ice maker be fixed and it still wasn’t but the technician fixed it that same day and also tightened the faucet in the kitchen.Great service thank you so much!!
