Spent the last year and a half enjoying this Cortland location! I can’t recommend it enough! Pros: -LOCATION! Walking to so many incredible local businesses was game changing. A few favorites: Brightside Bakeshop, the Centennial, XUL brewing -Well maintained and updated units. Stayed in the music row floor plan, and particularly enjoyed the built in shelves. -Chanel, our property manager, is fantastic. Communication has been great the last few months, and she got right to work making the community better when she took over from the last manager earlier this year. -The maintenance team is also incredible! They’ll take care of a lightbulb change same day and any urgent needs asap. Super kind and very on top of it! Things to know, but none are deal breakers: -The pool is small, so summer weekends means lounge chairs go quickly and the pool is packed. -The dog park receives direct sunlight most of the day and is quite small. They did recently build a shaded structure, but it’s on the concrete, meaning the turf

Definitely the best complex I’ve ever lived in! The staff is super friendly. Jojo always brings great energy when you walk in the front door. Any maintenance requests are taken care of quickly, facilities are always clean, neighbors are quiet, and you’re walking distance from great places within the Nations!

As of the most recent management, things have improved significantly at Cortland at the Nations. Communication has improved. The new manager in charge is friendly and is putting forth an effort to know the residents here; event schedules are seemingly more organized, occurring more frequently compared to the past few months. However, I would like to see more events that encourage socialization with residents, such as paint and sips, tastings (ie. coffee, tea, beer, whiskey, etc) and game nights that occur at hours residents are actually able to attend (for example, past working hours). Despite living here for over two years, I still haven't met that many neighbors, which is a bit sad. They also seemed to have delayed (or, hopefully cancelled) the new lighting project that was being put into place, so it is good to see feedback is considered. Location is prime. Units are beautiful. Very dog and pet friendly. Pool is small but workable. Amenities are nice and well kept. Maintenance is amazing. The package room

UPDATE: Things have improved significantly over the last couple of weeks. It seems like the new team in place is finding their footing, which is awesome. Looking back, I think a lot of these issues we were experiencing were the result of issues at the corporate level. Updated to 4 stars. I still really hate the new lighting, which a lot of other residents have expressed concern over, but it is what it is, I guess. UPDATE: Updated Star rating from 5 to 2. This place isn’t what it used to be. Since losing both Mackenzie and Michaela, our community is a shell of what it was. Long-time residents are moving out in droves and repeated complaints about “updates” around the community (like industrial hospital-like lighting being installed throughout the community hallways) have gone completely unanswered (except for them continuing to install them), while other vanity projects are prioritized. We no longer have a monthly community events calendar, so there is nothing to look forward to here. It’s a shame how quickly

Lived here for a few months so far and I love it. Pros: It's a very quiet apartment complex. The walls seem to be well insulated so you can't hear your neighbors, even if they're having a party next door (which has happened). The office staff is very helpful. JoJo is very nice and helpful. Maintenance is kind and timely. The gym is always clean and has everything you need and nothing you don't. They host events there and are very welcoming and pet friendly. Cons: There is a train outside of the complex (which is kind of a neutral). It's by an Innophos depot/manufacturing facility (which is also a neutral for me), along with an intersection where they need to sound off at. The train does go off, but it's only a few times during the day and RARELY at night. I found one day that my batteries were missing from my thermostat and there was no record of anyone coming in my apartment. This doesn't bother me as much as I know it would for some, but it should be mentioned because it has been the only odd experie

The community was very clean, which is always a huge factor for me. I was also impressed that they were able to fit me in as a walk in and were happy to do so. Our experience so far has been great, we really enjoyed our tour, everything was so clean and smelled good. Nelson Garcia, Cortland’s handyman, is the absolute BEST! He responds rapidly to all service requests fixing and maintaining everything perfectly and he goes above and beyond to make sure everything’s as it should be! Recently he came to solve a wasp issue on our balcony and ended up cleaning off the cobwebs I couldn’t reach on the balcony ceiling too! He does an amazing job keeping the building in working order and he’s always so pleasant and kind. He’s a huge perk to living at the Cortland in the Nations! Shout out to Amirna too! She keeps the building looking so clean and neat. She’s always so bright and early and cheerful! We appreciate how clean and great the building always looks, thank you Amirna!

It’s a great location with a very responsive staff and friendly service and top notch amenities. The units were very modern and well taken care of, and thus far we are enjoying our residency here. Excellent walkability to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and the commute to things you would want to do in Nashville is not bad at most times of the day. We like it here! As a side note, I don’t understand the negative reviews about the noise. The train passes by twice a day, maybe, at most, during hours you probably should be awake anyway, and the factory I genuinely thought was someone mowing their lawn a few miles away - it’s just a low hum that is only audible outside, with no other noise occurring. These reviewers should try living somewhere actually loud like Antioch near Bell Road where street racing and constant sirens cause so much noise pollution. It is also relatively safe for Nashville. Nothing compared to areas with track records of higher crime like Antioch or Madison. Really baffling for me. Edit:

I've been living at Cortland at the Nations for a little over a year now, and its been one of the best apartment complexes I've ever called home. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Any maintenance requests or communications to the office are handled pretty much immediately. I especially love how communicative they are regarding events or any ongoing issues at the complex. One of the most important things to me when finding a place to live is how pet-friendly they are. This place is incredibly pet-friendly. My pup gets so much love here, especially from Michaela at the front office. Seeing her is probably the highlight of his day. Michaela also has been exceptional when handling any issues I've had; I just mention them while my pup is saying hi, and shortly later will get notified of an email from the office or of a maintenance request that has been submitted for me.

I’ve had a great experience living here, and a huge part of that is thanks to Michaela in the leasing office. She truly goes above and beyond to make this feel like a community, not just an apartment complex. Michaela consistently plans thoughtful, well-executed resident events that people actually want to attend. It’s clear she puts a lot of care into creating moments that bring neighbors together, and it makes a real difference in the overall experience of living here. She’s also incredibly warm and welcoming on a day-to-day basis. My dogs absolutely adore her—and honestly, so does every dog in the building. I recently toured this apartment complex and had a great experience overall. Michaela truly stood out she was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made the entire tour feel relaxed after a long day of touring multiple complexes. She took the time to answer all my questions and really made a lasting impression. The location is another big highlight. It’s in a very walkable area with convenient access to shops, dining, and bars, which is a huge plus. The amenities are on par with what you’d expect from most apartments. I especially loved the addition of the art room. It’s a unique touch that adds character and gives residents a creative outlet. Overall 10/10 experience.

Moving to a new city can be pretty intimidating and the team at Cortland made moving into my apartment so easy and alleviated so much of the regular moving stress. Michaela handled my move-in orientation and she is incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and supportive so that I felt at home right away! The apartment, amenities, and the management team are all fantastic. You can really tell that the Cortland team goes above and beyond to make sure residents and visitors feel welcome and comfortable. Property Management Office and Facility Managers took pride in the upkeep and daily living situation of this apartment complex, which made it a treat to live in. What I enjoyed most about Cortland Nations: - Did I mention the staff? :) give everyone a raise!! Whenever I got a chance to exchange a morning/evening "hello", everyone I got to meet were friendly to be around and answered any requests in a timely manner. I recently stayed in the guest suite available for family and friends at Cortland and had a wonderful experience. The area is very walkable and extremely dog friendly, which made the stay even better. The suite itself was a fully furnished 1 bedroom with a nice patio area, and it felt comfortable and well maintained. Michaela at the front office was very welcoming and friendly from the moment I arrived. She made check in easy, answered the questions I had, and truly helped create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

I’ve been living here for 3 years and have loved it! It’s close to my work, gym, and obviously right across the street from Jenni’s! I have truly loved living at Cortland at the Nations. The community is beautiful, the amenities are great, and the location is hard to beat. Everything is always well maintained, and the management and maintenance teams do an excellent job making sure residents are taken care of. A special shoutout to Michaela in the leasing office. Our kids live here in the Cortland and we came for a visit! They have apartments available to rent for friends and families of residence members which made it very convenient! The apartment we rented was very nice and all the amenities you would expect in a well appointed Air B&B, including a very nice washer and dryer! The location is close to downtown Nashville and is surprisingly walkable since there are several great restaurants, a couple breweries, several bars, a convenience store and a Dollar General, all within walking distance! The staff were very nice and accommodating as well! We loved our kid’s apartment too! All things considered, we really enjoyed this place and the Cortland will be first on our list of options when we are back for another visit!

By far the best apartment complex in Nashville! The community is centrally located next to ice cream, coffee shops, BBQ, boutiques, restaurants, gyms and more. The amenities are amazing. I personally love the craft room and dog park! The events are so fun! You can really tell the staff care about the culture of the complex. I had the pleasure of calling Cortland at the Nations home for two years. It was the first place I lived in when I moved to Nashville and it will always be a special place to me. The community is gorgeous and the location is prime. So many great places to eat, drink, workout, etc. within walking distance. It's close to downtown but far away from the craziness! I always felt safe here and would take my dog outside for walks late at night by myself and never felt uncomfortable. The community is truly that - a community. It's easy to make friends with the residents and the staff is wonderful and so friendly. <3

Michaela is FANTASTIC, and honestly I cannot recommend this complex enough. Michaela is newer to this complex but immediately made an effort to get to know us and help with whatever she could. She greets everyone with a smile and always puts residents first. If I ever need anything from the front desk, Michaela is always there and so is Mackenzie - both of these ladies are incredibly professional, knowledgeable and responsive. Any service requests are taken care of IMMEDIATELY. And of course most importantly, as a dog mom, every single member of this team makes my baby feel so loved and safe. We love Michaela, Mackenzie and the entire cortland at the nations team - and hope the team there gets the recognition they deserve.

Recently got a tour of the studio apartments at Cortland at the Nations. Perfect walkable area and super close to my gym. The environment felt safe and comfortable. Michaela did such an amazing job at showing me around and answering questions I had in regards of moving and what to expect etc. Love that they have a fitness center, a place where you can host events and parties and the pool is amazing also 😊🙌🏽 The only con is having to pay monthly to park as a resident but, other than that it’s a great apartment and the staff is super friendly! I would highly recommend!

Such a beautiful location! From the moment you step onto the property, you're greeted by well-kept grounds, friendly staff, and spotless amenities. The tour covers the essentials—pool, gym, grill, and complimentary coffee—but the real charm lies in the extras: a podcast room, a fully stocked art studio, a LEGO wall, and state-of-the-art fitness equipment. Michaela from the leasing team was a standout—her warm, upbeat personality made the tour even more enjoyable! The only downside was that it was slightly out of our budget, but we truly feel the value matches the price.

The property is spectacular. There are also some food places near the property which are great to have near by! The pool is nice and simple. The Maintenance Team is great, Jair is really helpful. Thanks.

Been here for a week so I wanted to review the move in…the staff were so kind and helpful throughout the entire app and move in process and have been responsive every step of the way. I absolutely love my apartment (Music Row floor plan) and the amenities here. Will update the review when I’ve been here several months.

I love this walkable community! Ice cream, coffee shops, BBQ, boutiques, restaurants, gyms… all a short walk away! Jessica and all the staff are amazing. The amenities are unique. The events are so fun! The garage parking is perfection in bad weather. The dog treats in the office are my doggo’s fave! The residents and their furry friends are welcoming and fun to be around. The location is so close to all the fun downtown and to Costco and other good shopping. Highly recommend this community 10/10!

This place is awesome! It's super clean and modern, and there are so many amenities. There's even an art studio which is so cute. The staff is also kind and helpful!

Makenzie, the community manager, is absolutely phenomenal. She is very friendly and responds very fast to any messages you leave her. I was having a housing situation and Makenzie went above and beyond to get me settled asap and make the move as stress-free as possible for me. I am very appreciative of having such fantastic staff at my apartment.

This location absolutely rocks my socks. Walking distance of awesome bars / taprooms (51st taproom has my hear), solid bbq, Oscars (with the best breakfast burrito in town). Frothy Monkey is basically next door for my coffee addiction. the complex is always clean and I've always felt super safe. 10/10 would recommend (well I guess 5/5 but whatever).
