Cortland Welcomes Residents to New Development in Tampa Bay Area

Cortland has opened the initial phase of Cortland Riverview near Brandon, Florida. With the final phase expected to deliver in late 2023, the community will include 319 units ranging in size from one- to three-bedrooms with high-end kitchens, custom cabinetry, wood-style flooring, and modern lighting.

“We are thrilled to be delivering another community in the Tampa area,” says Chris Fletcher, executive vice president of development for Cortland. “The region has all the wind in its sails, with incredible natural resources, a relatively low cost of living, and a desirable climate. Our data-driven approach led us to break ground in November 2021 in the high-demand and high-growth location between Brandon and Tampa.”

Residents will have access to 13,000 square feet of amenity space and a courtyard highlighting a pool, a sundeck, cabanas, and lounges. Four stories of amenities host a 24-hour fitness center with free group classes and a two-story indoor-outdoor sky lounge. The grounds also include a private pavilion, a leash-free dog park, and a landscaped trail around a pond.

"Cortland Riverview will offer residents a quiet, oasis-like retreat with incredible access to everything that makes Tampa so desirable,” adds Fletcher. “Every detail of this community is focused on our commitment to raise the standard of apartment living, foster a sense of community and conversation and provide resident-centric hospitality.”

The development has the capacity to accommodate 113 electric vehicle chargers that will be installed as needed. Cortland Riverview also offers a valet trash system with interior/exterior access, which allows trash to be collected directly from residents’ homes without having to step inside.

Cortland has five new development projects totaling more than 1,750 units under construction in Florida, in addition to its existing 36 Florida communities. The project team for Cortland Riverview includes Charlan Brock Architects, Kempton Rinard, and VCC.
